good game between Poland and Czech Republic, Jiracek scored a great counter attacking goal for the Czechs it always looked as if the 2 goals Poland needed would be just too much

Russia dominated possession and had 24 scoring chances compared to 5 that the Greeks created but it was Karagounis goal for Greece just before half time that was the deciding goal
Russia piled on the pressure in the second half but were very wasteful in front of goal

Russia just couldnt rediscover their form that everyone seen in the first game and in the end were made pay for their wasting of chances in front of goal over the 3 games

Poland and Russia are out of EURO 2012
Czech Republic win the group and Greece finish second

Czech Republic will play the runners up of gruop B
Greece will play the winners

Group B will be decided tomorrow with Portugal Vs Holland and Denmark Vs Germany

germany and portugal will have a easy time with greece and czech haha

Portugal have beated Holland 2-1 to book their place in the quarter finals at the expense of Denmark
Holland took the lead thru Van der Vaart but could only hold their lead for 15 minutes before Ronaldo got his first goal of the tournament to level the score and meaning Holland needed two to have any chance
it was all counter attack from Portugal from their on in with Holland having several half chances but failing to find the net
Ronaldo scored a great counter attacking goal with 15 minutes remaining laeving the dutch with too much to do.
Holland benched Van Bommell and Afellay for this game and went instead with Huntelaar and Van der Vaart, Huntelaar had a quiet game but Van der Vaart put in a decent show with a great curling goal and also hit the upright in the second half from a great strike.raising questions as to why Holland had gone with the 2 holding midfielders for the first two games instead of this set up
Holland were made pay for their poor efforts in front of goal this tournament
as between Van Persie,Robben,Huntelaar,Van der Vaart,Sneijder,Afellay and Kuyt they only managed 2 goals
As for Portugal they will be playing the Czech Republic in the first Quarter final and with Ronaldo finally showing his form in the tournament they will be fancied to progress to the Semi finals.
Portugal look a very dangerous counter attacking side and if Ronaldo is back in form they could be seen as underdogs to win the tournament

Germany also won tonight to book their Quarter final game with Greece and subsaquently send Denmark home
Podolski got the Germans of to an early lead inside 20 minutes but it only lasted 5 minutes before Krohn-Dehli got his second of the tournament with a unmarked header
as the game wore on it became clear that as the way results in the other game were panning out that if Denmark scored again then Germany would be out but it was Lars Bender who scored the winner with 10 minutes remaining,leaving the Danes with a mountain to climb
the game was fairly stale with very few chances created by either side Germany had 10 and Denmark had 7 possession was also fairly even
Germany are so far the only team to carry a 100% record thru the tournament and will be fancied to brush aside the Greeks in their meeting

Tomorrow sees group C being decided with Croatia playing Spain and Italy Play Ireland

Spain know that a win will see them top the group
Croatia need at least a draw
Italy need to win and hope one of the other two teams wins to progress as group runners up
If both Italy and Croatia win then Spain go out

I don't know how Germany wants to keep up such a game. Always going for the offense and just saying "as long as we shoot we will score a goal" is a bad tactic.

BTW Özil and Khedira played like shit this game. I don't understand how Kroos isn't the main player instead of Özil. Our team just tries to run right in front of the goal. They should be a little bit more "trigger happy" if you ask me.

Anyways, Greece is gonna be a piece of cake. A shame that Russia went out in their group.

I was surprised at how badly Holland played with such a stellar line up of players. Portugal relies too heavily on Ronaldo and will be destroyed by Germany or Spain from what i've seen. Denmark played better than i thought, probably the hardest group and shame they didn't go through.

I hope Croatia poops on Spain just because i always support the underdog, it's because i'm English.

So glad Portugal wonactually, even though I originally wanted Denmark to go through. I would love to see a fired up Ronaldo go against Spain, with Portugal actually attacking this time and not playing for a 0-0.

@ mick BTW I read some articles about the German team and most of them agree that Özil is playing rahter poorly in this championship. Löw ( the coach ) still hopes that "his talent will explode" soon.
