TOPIC: people in new york and in general

people in new york and in general 1 year ago #697305

ok, so this past week i went on a school trip to newyork city with my school concert band (i graduated already, but am taking an extra year of highschool) and i have noticed that the people in new york are so rude :/

like for instance, several times, i walked by people and THEY bumped into me and i said sorry and they continued walking away without a word while giving me a "are u retarded" look....

also, if u ever said hi to anyone to ask them a question (unless they worked in the store u were in) they would just ignore the shit out of u

and im not imagining it because it happened atleast 10x a day :/

so basically what i want to know is y u think the people over there are like that (ie. rude/no manners)

i currently live in a city of about 500,000 people but i do go to toronto, canada a lot which has more than double that population and i have never seen so many streets crowded like there were over there

First year university student. I am currently studying music. I love to play my clarinet, but I also enjoy playing saxophones. Im 19 and am one of the most laid back people you\\\'ll ever meet. The only game I play as of right now is NBA 2K13 and due to the overwhelming amounts of homework I get, I do not get a chance to play that often although I really love the game.

If you want to meet up online and play a game of 2K13 just add my psn and put 2K inside the friend request.

can't say I can speak for New Yorkers, But I have noticed that people expect manners to be something of second nature, even in my small seaside town in which nearly half the population is over 50, you would expect manners from them, but so many have become prejudice in thinking that teenagers or even just younger generations are rude, mannerless people that they themselves forget any form of manners.

That's even worse, people aren't walking the streets of NYC for leisure most of the time. They're usually walking because they have to get somewhere.

And live in California once in your life but leave, before it makes you soft"

I went to NYC for a school trip way back in 8th grade. My dad was telling me how New Yorkers were nothing short of scum and rude. I didn't have a problem with any of them really. I think once or twice in Times Square it got a little hairy, but I had a good experience as a whole.

Can’t vouch for New York, but in any part of the word, there’re good to bad people.

lol bitch stop acting like this is your town.
“...you’re expelled from your mother’s uterus as if shot from a cannon, towards a barn door studded with old nail files and rusty hooks. It’s a matter of how you use up the intervening time in an intelligent and ironic way. And try not to do anything dastardly to your fellow creatures.”
