TOPIC: Favorite Comedians?

Favorite Comedians? 1 year, 2 months ago #684103

Haven't seen a comedian thread in a long time and a friend and I are thinking about going to one of their shows if they're coming to Michigan ever. So put down some videos, quotes, whatever from your favorite comedians or just any comedian in general and who knows? Maybe you'll help me find a show to go to. Here's my favorite comedians:

Bill Burr

Louis CK

Dan Cummins

Dane Cook lolololol. I'll be honest, I did really like him. Even have his Rough Around the Edges CD/DVD. Haven't heard from him since.

But my favorites:

Louis CK

Lewis Black

I will only play with members that regularly post on the forum. I hope you understand, it is just less awkward that way.

I see your forum post is using logic? Too bad you\'re on Hupit, where logic isn\'t accepted as a valid premiss to an argument.

I have gained a lot of respect for Dane Cook when he went on Louie and did a skit about him stealing Louie CK's jokes.

Dave Chappelle, funniest dude I have ever listened to and number 1 on my list.

Then Bill Burr is a very great second. Funny a-dude.
Romans 8:31---What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Ezekiel 25:17---\"And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you!\"

Matthew 7:1-5---Do not judge so that you will not be judged. \"For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. \"Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother\'s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? \"Or how can you say to your brother, \'Let me take the speck out of your eye,\' and behold, the log is in your own eye? \"You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother\'s eye.

Joe Rogan. He's actually really really funny. I've never seen his podcasts, though but his stand-up is fantastic.

:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

Seth Macfarlane. His stand up is great compared to his shows. And it's not just because his shows are shitty, either. He's actually funny.

:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

Louis CK (Obviously)

:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

Daniel Tosh. His stand-up is so much better than his Tosh.0 stuff, mostly because he has a staff that writes a lot of the Tosh.0 material.

:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

Katt Williams

:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

Aside from them, Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, Greg Geraldo, Jimmy Carr, Bo Burnham, and a shitload of others.

I used to enjoy it but the whole overly aggressive stoner thing he has going got to me. I'm sorry but essentially insulting your friend for not believing that Christmas traditions were the result of weed is just not entertaining material. Still give it a try, who knows?
Just for the record, this is not the signature that won me a little award.

I'm just going to post them as opposed to finding links because I guess it's finding something that isn't offensive haha.

Frankie Boyle, Sean Lock, Robert Webb, Russell Howard, Peter Kay, Harry Enfield, David Mitchell and Hugh Dennis.

I'm a big fan of British comedians .. being British myself.

I'll probably just stick to his standup. He sounds like kind of a dickhole offstage. I perfer the fake persona he has while he's performing.

Bill Hicks, George Carlin (getting the orgy of George soon), Lewis Black. I forgetting two guys. I always liked Louis CK, but never quite loved him like I do Hicks or Carlin. And there's one guy who died a few months ago, I can never, ever remember his name. I'm terrible like that. He was a young guy too, only like 26.

I keep reading this as "favourite Canadians?"

Although, it really wouldn't make a difference, considering all the best comedians are Canadian, anyway.
Down to the zero we go.

I don't know about all, but Jon Dore is one of my favorite Canadian comedians.

The only comedian I know of that died months ago was Patrice Oneal, died of a stroke. He was not young though, he was 41. Ill link a video of his and see if this is him.

He was extremely underrated and he was amazing on Tough Crowd.

Patrice is one of my favorites.

Others are of course Bill Burr, Nick Depaolo, Colin Quinn and the rest of the Boston guys.

Im SHOCKED no one has named the greatest stand up of all time yet, Richard...FUCKING....Pryor.

I have seen his live on the sunset strip special at least 25 times on netflix.

Thats him. I'm not sure why I thought he was younger.

Mitch Hedberg is my favorite.
Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy are classic.
Daniel Tosh has funny stand-up but his t.v. show sucks.

Sweatiest man alive.
During his standup the guy is drenched with sweat, even through a vest, shirt and suit jacket.

I'm too impressed to be disgusted.

As a Brit, we will gratefully give him to you on the basis that we never see him on British tv again.

For some reason he's huge in the US when most people in the UK don't have much time for him.
