I ALWAYS MISS THE HUPIT DRAMA.

Or, to put it another way, whenever i'm around, everything runs smoothly.

You people.

Yes you did.. You beat Welsh in 2011 by quite a lot according to my SQL query back in late Feb for accumulated thanks.

This means thank you war.

On a serious note, I only joined in February last year, so I don't understand how that works. I don't think I got 100+ in my first month of joining. I'm not greatly bothered though, since I think Keenano is a great member of the forum and, since it looked like I was/am going to win 'smartest' member thanks to my OTP posts (wikipedia ftw), I like awards being shared out.
Check out my blog, it\'s suprisingly dull: welshboymick.wordpress.com

I see your forum post is using logic? Too bad you\'re on Hupit, where logic isn\'t accepted as a valid premiss to an argument.

Interesting. I'll run some new queries and expand the months or do it month by month..

Will there be awards for the winners of the upcoming tournaments?

That's a pretty interesting proposal, yes! But then we'd only be able to have the tournaments once per year..

Not necessarily. We could simply remove the medal/ribbon from the previous winners' profiles each time there is a new tournament, or we could have different badges/ribbons for each tournament.

I think it would be a good idea in the future. I believe this first tournament will be too much of a whitewash Maybe we could have it for later tournaments that are better organized

This list is not the actual award winners

There was a misunderstanding/mis-communication due to the length of the awards, it's resolved now.
-End-

So yeah the awards outlined in the first post are not correct.

I'm going to remove the sticky from this thread to stop any further confusion.

Some random Irish guy. His name's Neil or Neal or something like that.
Just for the record, this is not the signature that won me a little award.

Yeah, I know Sas is subscribed to this though and he may have something planned/in progress already.

Geoff, let me know if you need work done on this. But only if I can express myself a bit, I'm thinking something like the prestige symbols. Not really up for doing boring ribbons like the existing ones .

We were just going to re-name some of the ribbons that don't get used. If you'd be willing to design some new ones then i'm sure sasben would upload and use them. Just make sure we wont get any trouble due to copyright etc.

Here is my post from the other threaad:

Currently the ribbons we have:
:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

That means the following ribbons are still to be assigned - but sasben is sorting it: Most Helpful, Smartest Member, Best Thread, Best Bro, Best New Member and Most Likely To Survive A Zombie Apocalypse.
Also the member of the year ribbon has the 2010 year on it, if anyone is good at gfxs and could change/fix it.

Ty, I'm relaying this message from Geoff.
It would be awesome if you can do some new awards.. Should we let you have at it for a few days and apply the awards next week instead with new ones ?

Awesome, happy to get stuck in.

It's a pretty big job though, and I'm on a stag do this weekend.

If you can give me a template to work to in terms of format and dimensions that will help.

I think the best idea is to pick say, 3, give me a couple of nights to hammer out some common elements and checkback in to make sure you guys like the style I'm working to (I'd rather we did this as a small group on skype or something with the people who have put effort into the awards already, I think they deserve a say, if we put stuff up on the forums there's always gonna be someone who won't like them and that too many cooks factor).

From hanging out here I think the guys wil have some patience if we can show I'll be producing something they can wear with pride and won't take toooooo long to do.

A week just sounds unrealistic for me right now. Sorry.

Also maybe we could tier the awards? If I can make a few of the less prestigious (no offence to the winners) awards a little simpler I can get the job done quicker.

You don't get to make demands of the Council, ambassador.

Well...

I spoke to rb183gmr a couple of weeks ago on skype/PM. I showed him a couple of examples of the type of thing I had in mind, and asked if he could get together with the people who were running the awards so that they could give me a starting point for the design concepts.

Nothing too complicated. Something along the lines of "can we have a grenade on this one, a gold H on this one etc". I didn't want to wing it in case I ended up spending a lot of time on something for you guys to not like the concept.

I chased him on skype a couple of times and got a response on March 20 saying he was basically waiting on a response from your good self. Seeing as you're here asking this now I'm assuming he's either not asked you or not passed on your thoughts to me.

So....

Luckily it's a long weekend this weekend. I have Friday and Monday off of work, and my moleskine is sitting next to me now waiting to get involved.
