does anybody here every send anybody a msg after a game saying "good game", "nice job dude", etc? i do this on halo and gears, but never cod. usually when someone on cod is doing good, they're using the cheapest thing possible lol. the ppl on halo and gears are just generally more nice and are actually good, but i dont know why that is. it seems like cod community is getting worse and worse, both skill wise and attitude wise. which is why i really dont feel like getting MW3. and sometimes i try to be nice and their major dbags. this one game on SnD on black ops, me and this one guy were carrying a team, and i send him a msg saying "this team sucks man, we gotta carry more lol". so he replies back "yeah team sucks including you". i try to be nice to someone and i get this reply? i was above him sniping so idk wtf he was thinking haha. do you run into a ton of assholes on cod who are full of themselves or is it just me?

Well, Gears and Halo actually take more brain power/'skill' (IMO).

You have to understand that Call of Duty is filled with more kids than mature teens/adults/kids. Why? Because it's a noob friendly game.

Also, COD is filled with more casual players than Halo/Gears.

i send a gg message after every set i play in mortal kombat, since i try to find the people with the most wins/best record, so most people i play are really good(hence why my record is not looking so good ) so they are actually some close games. even when i lose, i send ggs.

call of duty, most messages i used to get(if any at all)were calling me all this stuff for trying to win the games, hence why i stopped playing cod.

I send a gg (or add them to my FL) to people I play that carry the opposing team to victory (or a close defeat). This one game, I was playing TDM, and me and one other guy had the same exact score as me, but his team lost by 3 kills. So, I sent him a FR, and found out he was on HuPT too.

Well today I got nuked by someone who actually earned it rather than camping or pro-piping, so I sent him a message thanking him for being one of the few who can earn something rather than have everything handed to him on a silver platter.

I only send GG messages on sports games, because you're most likely only going to play against one guy.

On COD, i never come out of party chat or private chat. I really dont like dealing with the idiots going, dude im so high hur hur hur, or just people who talk shit for no reason. Really dont like dealing with the kiddies either. In Gb matches i mute the other team immediately, because they are usually cocky arrogant assholes as well. Sports games like ncaa ill send a good luck message and they usually send one back. I came back down 7-28 at halftime on ncaa10 and won 35-28, guy sent me a message saying that was the greatest playing hes ever seen along with good game, we had to go to OT. Nice people do play xbox i guess, just not cod.

Sometimes I do. Usually when I got one good teammate with me who will fight for win.

Or when one enemy owns me (rarely never happens if they dont have party going on).

If I send message, text would be something like "well done mate" or "good game"
*Call me and Ill get black bird for you*

I do it a lot in BFBC2 and sometimes GTA if a race is close. Other than that, I don't even bother sending anything in any other games at all, especially CoD.

I see your forum post is using logic? Too bad youre on Hupit, where logic isnt accepted as a valid premiss to an argument.

Send a me f/r

*I play to win and if you dont care about winning dont send a me a f/r. I dont care if you go 60-1 if we lose. Also if you dashboard you are pathetic because you care so much about stats in a game, just have fun and winning is fun*

You play to win the game. Hello? You play to win the game. You dont play it to just play it. Thats the great thing about sports: you play to win, and I dont care if you dont have any wins. You go play to win. When you start tellin me it doesnt matter, then retire. Get out! Cause it matters. Coach Herman Edwards

^Why are you still here you dirty spawn trapper?

When I played Halo I would commend people who did well, or stuck out bad situations (e.g. 1v4) and took their loss like a man.

It`s time to kick ass and chew bubblegum...and my foot hurts at the moment

I do most of the time when playing Starcraft 2, since I'm still in the lower leagues it's not the "norm" to GG, but in the higher leagues it is very frowned upon to not say GG.

I send a "GG" message or something along that line after a fight with someone in Demon's Souls. I will also say I'm sorry if I get summoned as a phantom in 3-3. I even try to bow before fighting but people usually take that as an opportunity for a cheap shot. I consider that grounds for a little acid cloud scraping spear (%99 of you won't get that, %1 will find it funny.)

I don't usually but I often get them. Usually something like "GG Mate" or just "Good game".

With the anonymity of the internet and basic text, in general, it is a bit difficult to tell if someone is sincere or trolling (sort of like my thoughts with this thread, I can't tell if you are sincere or trolling COD players as a halo fanboi). If I have some good battles with someone and it was truly a good battle between the two of us, I will send something "good stuff, that was fun" or thereabouts. I typically stay away from the GG stuff as that is what the GB tryhards will send when they are trolling people "GG BK LOLz" If it is someone relatively random, who just happened to get a good score on the other team, I won't generally send anything at all.

no i wasnt trolling lol. i just played a game of gears 2 where me and this other guy carried our team and won 5-4 when we were down 2-4. after i send him a msg, i realized "hey, i never get teammates like this on cod". so i just wanted to see if ppl had the same experience. after reading through the replies, i think its mainly because its so easy to play cod and it takes less thinking/teamwork and there are more younger ppl playing cod than other games because of it.

Re: "Good game" messages? 1 year, 10 months ago #495697

The only time I send a message to anybody is if I actually want to get to know them in some fashion, ie: if I want to play with them again, or if they do something absolutely recockulous, like a cross map tomahawk to win SnD. Sometimes I'll send a GG message if it was a hard fought, really even handed match with no cheapness on either side, regardless of who won the match. Those are really the only times, though.

i rarely send them in FPS games, simple because of the reasons named above.
but if i play a really tight match against someone in fifa or other sports games they get a good game from me
