Subject: Why has Call of Duty discriminated against snipers? - by: MrFlagman30

I've been playing Call of Duty for a while and played from Call of Duty 3 to Black Ops 2 and I've noticed that the game caters less and less for snipers ever since MW3 came out and Black Ops 2 made it worse with the only good place to snipe is on drone in the grassy spawn in front of the tunnel. This is the only place to properly snipe, not running around at close range quickscoping. I have nothing against quickscoping but making quickscoping the only effective way to use a sniper rifle in Black Ops 2 is terrible. They should add some new maps in the next DLC with longer ranges for people who want to snipe long range the way that the weapons are designed to do. Please give me any feedback on your ideas or feelings on this subject.

Subject: A playlist I would love to see... - by: spartacon5267

Something along the lines of moshpit...a no shotgun no sniper rifle playlist...or at least a no one-shot-kill sniper rifle/shotgun playlist. For those of us who want to be able to run around without having to worry about getting one-shotted. I'm more annoyed about this than ever...I got killed one of a MOAB today by a USAS-12 fag and then 1 off a swarm by a Remington wielding dickhole. Probably wouldn't bother me so much...if it wasn't for the fact that I shot the Remington kid in the back 3 times and he just whipped around and one-hit me.

Hello all, I play allot of hardcore KC when i'm alone, because most of the people I play with are not big hardcore fans, but i'm really good at hardcore. if we could get 4-6 people to pub stomp in some hardcore domination, i think we would have a ton of fun.
I play very aggressively and get 40-60 kills constantly on a good day, otherwise i'm in the 30s

My load out:
AN-94 : quick draw, stalk, fast mags
No secondary, but if i use one i prefer the tac-45
frag
dexterity
lightweight
concussion/flash

sometimes it changes but that is my normal set up.

PS3 only,
PM neothetroll or Super_xNOOBx on ps3 or reply to this post if you want to play.
I generally play Saturday around 9 or 10 am or 9 or 10 pm. but the rest of the week i can play pretty much any time after 5pm

Mic's not necessary but if you have one use it.

Introduction

Hello there, fellow Black Ops 2 players. I haven't written any guides in quite a long time, since the beginning of Black Ops, either because I found either everything was too obvious, it was already done by YTers on YT or because I simply did not have the passion to commit to writing an extensive guide on any CoD related topic(streak, perks, weapons, etc). That has changed with League Play. League Play is still mysterious for many, and there are many more "professional" aspects that more casual league players do not understand, and my goal is to aid those with quality information in a east-to-view format, possibly including videos to complement the written aspect of this guide in the future.

Index

I. League Play - General Information
II. Champions Series - Maps and Rules
III. Divisions and Point System
IV. Classes, backing out, and other non-gamemode specific information
V. Hardpoint - Class setups, general tactics and tips, map specific tactics
VI. SnD - Class setups, general tactics and tips, map specific tactics
VII. CTF - Class setups, general tactics and tips, map specific tactics.

I. League Play - General Information

Treyarch has included a new feature in Black Ops 2, a competitive mode in which you face off against players using competitive rulesets and you get ranked according to your, or your team's, skill level. There are two different playlists, Champions League, in which 4v4 matches in either CTF, Hardpoint or SnD are played, and the Team Deathmatch series, which is 6v6 TDM matches on each and every map, following standard rules and only banning the use of splitscreen. There is also a solo rank in the TDM series to rank you and pit you against similar players.

II. Champions Series - Maps and Rules

The Champions series consists of 4v4 matches for 3 distinct gametypes, CTF, Hardpoint, and SnD. Treyarch has added only maps that are most balanced for each gametype, which are the following:

Aftermath: SnD
Cargo: SnD
Express: SnD/Hardpoint/CTF
Hijacked: Hardpoint
Meltdown: SnD
Plaza: SnD/Hardpoint
Raid: SnD/Hardpoint/CTF
Slums: Hardpoint/CTF
Standoff: SnD/Hardpoint/CTF
Yemen: Hardpoint

You can play League team in a solo league or in a Team League setting, although both share the same matchmaking pool. Solo league rank pertains to playing by yourself, with a friend, or in a party of 3, as you will always have to play with at least one random player. The team league setting consists of playing with a full team of 4, and the game will force you to create a team name and you'll have the option to add a team emblem. Playing in a full team is only recommended if you're going to commit to playing together, as you'll have to start a new team every time a new player different to the last group of 4 joins.

Rules and Restrictions:

Warning: Spoiler!

To begin, general competitive gameplay rules have been applied, except for friendly fire being enabled. This includes no dynamic map settings(train in express, etc) and other typical general competitive rules.

SnD:

- Silent plant enabled
- Round switch every round
- 5 second plant time/7.5 second defuse
- Up to 6 rounds
- No third person spectating

Hardpoint and CTF for the most part have unaltered rules.

Restrictions:

Perks: Hardline & Ghost
Scorestreaks: UAV, Hunter Killer Drone, Care Packages, Counter-UAV, Guardian and Orbital VSAT
Weapons: All free-fire launchers
Lethals: Claymores, C4s, Bouncing Betties
Tacticals: Shock Charges and tactical insertions
Split-screen not permitted.

III. Divisions and Point System

All League Play series have 6 different divisions, which are the following:

Masters: Top 2% of players
Platinum: Next 18% of players
Gold: Next 20% of players
Silver: Next 20% of players
Bronze: Next 20% of players
Iron: Last 20% of players

As you can see, the Master divisions hold the absolute best players in League play, while the Iron division holds the absolute worst. To get ranked, you must go through 5 different placement matches, and then you'll be thrown into a certain division. The more you win, the higher chance of joining a more skilled division, although it is impossible to join Masters Division right after finishing the placement matches.

When getting placed in the Solo Champions League, it is best to play as a group of 3, as this will allow for more teamwork and it'll increase your chance of getting placed into a better division. If you win all your matches, you will most certainly be placed in Platinum Division. Individual performance and skill level is not accounted for in the League Play rank and point system, wins and losses are most important. The game also takes into account your previous League placements when placing you in a new season, so if you were Iron last season, even if you win 5 matches, you won't be placed into Platinum straight away, and vice-versa, if you were in Masters last season, you can lose 1 or 2 placement matches and still be placed in Platinum Division straight away.

After your placement matches, you will find yourself in a subdivision(of which there are many), with a distinct name and a set of players. As the Season trudges along, more subdivisions will open up and new players will begin to fill each subdivision. This, for the most part, means that the first few divisions will be the most advanced(point-wise) because they were the first to open up that season. There is a maximum of 200 players per subdivision, and your goal throughout the season to is to win as much as possible, with the objective of either getting promoted to a better division, or getting rank 1 in your Master's subdivision, thus "beating" the other 199 players in your subdivision.

The point system in League Play can only be explained through vague/general guidelines, as the exact algorithm through which points are awarded or deducted through wins and losses is not yet clear. For the most part, playing alone will reward you more points per win and deduct less points per loss, whereas each player added to party will decrease the difficulty and thus further hinder you, point-wise. Beating a full team, regardless of their Division, will typically reward 150 points, which is the maximum, although this is not always the case. In the same way that losing against a full team will typically only deduct 10 points, which is the minimum, although this is not always the case.

Aside from the amount of players in your party and the modification of the point system depending on the presence or absence of a full team, other factors also affect how many points you are rewarded or deducted. As this is still very vague, I speak solely from experience, but it seems the the divisions in which each player is affects the point you're rewarded, and it also takes into account the last few recent games for each player. The game DOES NOT take into account the actual challenge the enemy team gives you in-game, nor your individual performance, nor the fact that it may have been a 1v4 due to enemy or friendly players disconnecting or backing out.

There are also 200 daily bonification points, and so the first two wins of every day will reward you with an extra +200 points, aside frmo whatever you've won for that specific game.

The matchmaking system in League Play tends to be a skilled base matchmaking, pairing Master players with other Master players and occasionally with Platinum, although at some times of day exceptions are made due to the low amount of players in each region, especially considering only 2% of total players are in the Masters Playlist.

IV. Classes, Backing out, and other non-gamemode specific information

In League play, you will have absolutely everything in the pick 10 system unlocked, so you will not have to level up to unlock different guns/attachments/perks/etc. Unless you buy the 10 sets of classes, you will be stuck with a total of 5 classes for 3 very different gamemodes, which might indeed be a bit challenging.

You also won't be able to unlock and weapon camos, nor will you be able to complete any challenges in League play, or unlock any titles or emblem related-material. You also will not be awarded any medals for anything you achieve in League Play.

If you back out of a game purposely, you will be punished with a 5 minute probation, in which you won't be able to search for a League Play match. Joining a started game is also a thing of the past in League play, thus making a much more balanced system and much less infuriating for those searching for a match. Once all 8 players are found, the lobby will set a map/gametype and lock everyone in until the game starts. There are 3 ways to break this lock, for all of those who either prefer not to play a certain map/gametype, think they have bad odds of winning and are scared(bad teammates/good enemies), or simply have to go away from their PS3.

1.The first is simply by joining a friend's group/started game

2.The second is by simply disconnecting from their account(dashboarding)

3.The third is by introducting the clan tag "co,d", which then changes to "cod", which isn't allowed for whatever reason, resulting to a kick from the lobby back to your party. If doing this last method, you must erase the "d" in the clan tag before searching for a new game, and keep in mind this will work 90% of the time, but not always.

V. Hardpoint - Class setups, general tactics and tips, map specific tactics

Introduction and general tactics and tips:

Hardpoint is a new gamemode introduced by Treyarch which consists of dominating hills to obtain points. To "capture" hills, you must defend it and contst it against the enemy team. There are a total of 4-5 hills per map, and they rotate in a fixed order. each hill lasts a total of 60 seconds, and each game lasts 10 minutes. Hills are certain areas in a map which will be highlighted by glowing white arrows, if your team is in a hill, you will get a point per every second you are in control of the hill. If the enemy team contests the hill(meaning at least one member from each team is on the hill) no points are awarded, although the 60 second hill timer continues to count down. You get 200 points for capturing a hill, and 125 points instead of 100 for kills within the Hardpoint.

The key to Hardpoint, aside from killing/gunskill to eliminate enemy players from contesting a hill is to control key spawnpoints, permitting your team to spawn closer to that hardpoint and thus having less of a travel distance or a better positioning(headglitch, etc). To assure the control of spawnpoints, you must master the timing between hills. You have to know when to contest, when to rotate(moving your team's positioning objective from one that was for challenging the current hardpoint to one for defending the next Hardpoint and getting the spawnpoints closer to the next Hardpoint.

Ideally, you should always challenge a hardpoint for the first 30 seconds of it's lifetime. The last 30 seconds will greatly depend if the enemy still has control of it, or if you have control of it. If you have control of it, generally, you should send two teammates to rotate when there's 20 seconds left, and the third when there's 10-15, the last player in the Hardpoint should rotate anywhere between the 0-10 second mark, depending on the amount of map control the previously dispatched teammates have and if any enemies will spawn in a position to come back and pick up +200 for capturing the HP(even if it only has a few seconds left) and a few extra points as well. If the enemy has the control of the Hardpoint at 30 seconds, you must decide on when to rotate depending on the amount of control/players the enemy has on that hardpoint and the "breakability" of the next Hardpoint(some are easier to break than others, thus rotations become less important). If you just killed 3 enemies on the current HP, and you have closer spawns to the current HP, you should probably team rush that HP, leave on or two players on it, and have the other two begin to rotate. Generally, the 20 seconds mark is the mark at which most teams/players begin to rotate, obviously leaving a smaller 1v1/2v2 on the current Hardpoint, as 20 points are still quite a few.

I will go more in-depth for rotation times/"breakability" of Hardpoints/important spawn controls in the map-specific tips and tactics section for Hardpoint.

Another general tactic for all maps is contesting Hardpoints with smokes. On maps where hardpoints are generally very contested(big hills, like Hijacked or Raid) it normally comes down to the time running out, so if you're the team that is currently on top in points, it's normally wise to smoke the whole hardpoint and hide in the Hardpoint, that way the enemy team doesn't have complete control of the Hardpoint and you can assure yourself victory after a certain amount of time(winning 231-211, 19 seconds left, for example).

Roles:

There are typically three roles player's might assume while playing Hardpoint.

Anchor: The anchor's job is too control spawnpoints and assure better positioning for the upcoming/current Hill/Hardpoint. Sometimes the anchor has a less important role, sometimes they have the most important role, this grealty depends on the map and the current or upcoming hill. On Slums HP, for the 3rd and 4th hill, the Anchor is of crucial importance, because it assures the better spawns for 2 different Hardpoints, which is a total of 120 points. A real game changer. The anchor's job is to be the first to rotate, acquire the better spawns, and defend those spawns for the most part of lifetime of that hill. Most of the time he's an AR player and will rely on quick rotations and headglitches to mantain and control the anchor spot, to permit his team to easily contest/break/control the current Hardpoint.

Objective player: The objective player, as the name indicates, is to play the objective. He'll be the hill breaker, the first to contest, and the one to stay on the hardpoint. Objective players typically use CQC guns like SMGs and Shotguns(Plaza, Standoff, kitchen hill on raid, control room on Express, etc) although on some maps AR's with Kap 40 secondary are the most effective choice(Slums, Express, Raid). These players will always be in the hardpoint, killing players trying to rush in or that are already contesting, and on most maps will be the players that get the most action(killwise, but also will die the most). This player is, on most maps, the second most important for rotations, after the anchor.

Slayer: Typically, these players should be the ones getting the most kills. They're the frontline of the Hardpoint defense. Anchors mostly cover the "flank" to the Hardpoint, while objective players cover the hardpoint itself, these players kill enemy players before they have the chance to contest. Either from inside the Hardpoint or from outside, depending on the map and hill. These players normally use ARs on all maps except the smaller ones(Plaza and Standoff), and use headglitches and map positioning to kill enemy as they push through certain areas to get to the hardpoint.

It greatly varies, but most teams play with a Anchor/Objective/2 Slayer or Anchor/2 Objective/Slayer combo, although this is of little importance as during the actual game Slayer/Objective roles constantly overlap and deaths/spawns will make it so players will have to switch roles midgame, for some time at least. In ideal conditions, one player will always anchor, one is always in charge of breaking and staying in a hardpoint, and the other two will kill the enemy before they have the chance of contesting or as soon as they contest.

Slums: General Tips and Tactics

Warning: Spoiler!

Slums is one of the maps where controlling spawn points is most important. The Anchor's role in this map is huge, and about 3/4ths of the possible hill points will be awarded to your team if the anchor is capable of mantaining spawns throughout the whole game.

1st Hardpoint: Little to no importance. This hill is going to mostly be contested for all of it's 60 seconds, all your team's goal during the start of the match is to either hold the second hill spawns by spawning on the side of the second Hardpoint or to push through blue and then from blue to police car to get control of the spawn points. Once you're in control of the spawn points, you contest and try and control the first hill for as much as possible, but always mantaining the good spawns and defending blue to junkyard, statue to graveyard and statue to bricks. There are really no set roles, all players must push for spawns and all players must defend them, although the slayers typically hold blue and graveyard, while the anchor and OBJ players hold bricks and are the early rotaters to 2nd HP.

2nd Hardpoint: This Hardpoint is a breeze to defend and get 60 points on if you did a good job of setting up during the first Hardpoint. Once your anchor sets up in back dumpster/tables(backmost part of the map, where there are many cars), he'll simply have to headglitch and cover police car and all of the flank to the 2nd HP. It's best to rotate between headgliches when anchoring the 2nd HP to make it harder for the enemy to kill you, and always remember the walls are easily penetratable and so you must be careful about getting wallbanged, also that you can get shot from statue. The slayers should be headglitching and covering the blue doorway and the middle doorway. Middle is the easiest headglitch to utilize, use the crate above the HP stairs and peak and shoot. The last player should be headglitching yellow dumpster and ready to shoot whenever one of the slayers die and the enemy is rushing in through middle stairs or covered stairs on blue side.

Anchor should start pushing up to police car and then to bricks at the 25-20ish second mark, which will enable him to rotate to garage and attempt to get the fountain anchor spot for the 3rd and 4th HPs. Middle and Blue should slayers should start pushing up to the next Hardpoint at 15-10 seconds, leaving only one player on the 2nd HP to maximize points.

3rd Hardpoint: The third hardpoint is another very important hardpoint, especially considering the fountani anchorspot will give your team good spawns for two hardpoints, a total of 120 seconds. You'll need anchor and one of the slayers to push to fountain and get the laundry spawn points, all the while the other slayer and the OBJ player will have to try and push through graves and blue to then contest and break the 3rd Hardpoint. Dieing during the last 15 seconds on the hardpoint and "giving" the enemy the 2nd HP spawns is also a very good way of quickly rotating and setting up for the 3rd Hardpoint, as you'll spawn right on it. Once in control, Anchor will have to defend fountainside, and the flank, OBJ should be watching graveyard from the very corner(where the enemies coming from Blue won't see him at first, and the two slayers should be headglitching fridge/yellow dumpster near laundry to get anyone coming from Blue, although the OBJ watching graveyard can easily move a few feet and get anyone from blue as soon as they headglitch the yellow dumpster, making it for risky but fairly easy killa if he catches the enemy unawares. If OBJ dies, Slayer can easily push in, contest the enemy(that's probably hurt) and take the OBJ role. You can dodge hellstorm missles and lightning strikes by getting on top of the chairs in the very corners of the hardpoints.

4th Hardpoint: The 4th and last Hardpoint is in garage. The enemy will normally rotate to Garage when there's 10-15 seconds left, so it's smart for the slayer to push from fountain into the HP or from fountain to outside garden to then kill anyone already camping in a corner int he 4th Hardpoint. The other slayer should probably push graveyard and headglitch barrel to kill anyone coming from middle(soundwhoring is good here, to peak and kill) and then rotate to the inside of Hardpoint and watch graves from that window. The OBJ player should rotate either through fountain or graveyard(depending on map control at the time) and should stay inthe front of garage watching bricks(although not peaking too much). The other slayer should stay near white van supporting either the OBJ watching bricks or the slayer watching graves, depending on where there is more traffic at the time. Rotation to the 1st HP should commence with the anchor in fountain pushing graves and then blue, followed by the slayers at 10-5 seconds and OBJ when the HPs switch.

Streaks: Obvious best choice for using your hellstorm/lightning strike is when rotating from 2nd to 3rd HP and when going from 1st to 2nd, as the anchorspots are very vulnerable and you can streak and then push to get spawns. Many people use them on the first HP because it's completely open and will get you the most kills, but that's not always the smartest things to do as the enemy will spawn and continue contesting in 5 seconds, as you're not really getting better spawns for this Hardpoint. As for your sentry gun, I advise you use it to support he anchor on the 2nd anchorspot or in fountain for the 3rd/4th Anchor. Trophy systems are very important for anchors and for sentry guns in Slums HP.

Raid: General Tips and Tactics

Warning: Spoiler!

Raid Hardpoint is not so much about spawns, and more about good rotations and holding the hardpoints from the inside with good gunskill and teamwork. The hardpoints are the for the most part very intense, and the 1st and 5th will be contested a lot due to close spawns and various ways of getting into it. Spawn prediction is pretty straightforward, enemies will spawn where your teammates aren't, as close as possible to the hardpoint without being in range of instant gunfights.

1st Hardpoint: First hill is in rings, an one team will spawn in garage while the other team will spawn top Basketball/Jungle. The objective for this hardpoint is to mantain spawns if you spawned Jungle side, and flip them if you spawned Garage. A good way of doing this is sending 3 guys to the Hardpoint if you spawned Garage, and one through middle, that way the enemy has to focus on both red and pillars, which will help your team try and kill the guys at laundry and pushing through that side. There should only be 2 guys on the hardpoint after the initial rush, with the other two mantaining laundry spawns and headglitching laundry/stairs to kill the guys coming from pillars or red. At 20 seconds one guy should rotate towards the next hardpoint and watch middle, which is where the enemies spawning red/garage will rush through to get to the second Hardpoint.

2nd Hardpoint: This hardpoint is a clusterfuck, kitchen raid. If you die as soon as it's rotating, it might be a good idea for you or one of your teammates to switch to a shotgun class. Anchor will have to place himself at the tree near A-Dom and watch Laundry as the enemy will try and flip spawns to get closer to the Hardpoint. Two guys should be inside the Hardpoint itself, watching middle, while another, with an AR, should watch money window either from cut-out or money itself, cutting off anyone going pool side or trying to take out the anchor by going basketball/cut-off. If in money, there's the advantage of being able to quickly support teammates if the enemy is breaking in from the front, and being in a less obvious position and not as easy of a target(enemy rushes in, money isn't part of second hardpoint, so you won't be contesting it, easy double/triple kills).

3rd Hardpoint: The third hardpoint is Garage, which is near C-dom. Rotation for this hardpoint is vital, as you have to cross from one side of the map to another. It's wise to have 2 guys start pushing through middle at about 20 seconds, after stopping one of the enemies waves on middle. This way they'll have time to go through middle without getting shot, and quickly split up to go pool side, and the other going red and then weights. Anchor will want to hold the 2nd hardpoint and in some cases, depending on the timing of the enemies deaths, they'll spawn laundry/rings and contest 2nd hardpoint from the back, giving your teammates time to kill any enemies at garage and break and control the hardpoint. To break this hardpoint, you'll want to push weightroom and then headglitch van to take out whoever is in lambo corner. Nades are very important, if the enemy hasn't blown up the cars you can do so by nading the enemy, which will permit you to break the HP. When you have control, one of your teammates should watch pool, the other middle, and the other two blue car/weight room entrance, as the enemy will mostly spawn/push that side, as they'll be spawning rings. Also take into account there's a hole in the roof above lambo corner, where hellstorms and lightning strikes will penetrate.

4th Hardpoint: The deciding factor for the rotation to this Hardpoint is streaks. Hellstorms/Lightning strikes are invaluable for breaking this HP. Teammate watching pool side and teammates watching middle should rotate at 20 seconds, leaving behind only the teammates watching weight room/red. This will have the enemy either contesting the third Hardpoint or pushing to the 4th, but through jungle/kitchen/money. Teammate rotating through middle should watch pillars as the enemy will be spawning and rotating through there. When in the Hardpoint, one should stay in the building inside Hardpoint with a CQC weapon, another in tree watching laundry, one in money watching pool side and the 4th supporting wherever necessary. Sentry guns are most useful for this Hardpoint.

5th Hardpoint: 5th Hardpoint is the most contested by far and normally won't give too many points. Spawns will be switching constantly and enemy will come from all 4 sides, although rarely from two opposite sides at the same time(Kitchen/Zigzag or Open stairs/Pillars). Your team must keep this in mind, and best positioning is two in the hardpoint, in zigzag corner and kitchen corner watching pillars, and two Ars in the outer corners outside Hardpoint watching Open stairs/Kitchen/ZigZag. Smokes are great for keeping the hardpoint contested and streaks aren't all that effective, especially hellstorms, as the tree in the middle will block the missles. Rotation to next Hardpoint should be done at 15 seconds, pushing through kitchen to laundry and later on from the remaining teammates from middle through pillars, having already having pushed the enemy to spawn garage/red side.

Standoff: General Tips and Tactics.

Warning: Spoiler!

Standoff is mostly a CQC map, although one AR player will be necessary for the long range gunfights which will be necessary for defending a few hardpoints.

1st Hardpoint: Pushing the first hardpoint and holding it will mostly come down to gunskill. One AR player has to either go brown/grandma depending on what spawn your team gets, and having him get on the truck right ouside of the HP watching Grandma/Butchers is also a very good spot, as the enemy will continue spawning Grandma which is the ideal spawns for them. If the spawns switch, which they shouldn't if no one is pushing grandmas, the enemy will spawn barn side and will push through brown or broken wall. Nades/streaks are very useful for this Hardpoint, and it's very important for you to nadeshot(jump and throw) over brown to get quick easy kills on enemies on the HP. Rotation to next HP should begin at 15 seconds, or before if the enemy has the good spawns.

2nd Hardpoint: For the second hardpoint, which is in green, only two guys should be inside of it. One teammate should watch bottom brown with an SMG/Shotgun, another should watch gas station, and the last two should watch statue from hardpoint window with an AR/trophies and one watching the back route from barn to the Hardpoint. Smoke grenades are a very vital part of contesting this Hardpoint if you're trying to break it.

3rd Hardpoint: Rotation to this hardpoint should begin at 20 seconds or even earlier if the enemy isn't contesting the 2nd Hardpoint aggresively, and it's best to push through back alley/gas station and brown as the enemy will be spawning statue and pushing through middle/tractor. A shotgun player should set up inside the Hardpoint, one player should lay prone in back alley, and the other two should stay watching tractor from hay and watching middle street/brown while headglitching green tank. This will ensure full control of all entrances to grandmas through all jumpups. If contesting, remember there are 5 different ways to get into grandma, from the bottom via stairs, outside ladder, green tank to roof, dumpster to roof, and the back alley shed jumpup strafe to window.

4th Hardpoint: Rotation to this hardpoint, which is in bottom shop, should start at about 20 seconds or whenever the enemy stops pushing agressively, ideally going through middle/bottom brown/barn as the enemy will probably be spawning on that side and you'll get in behind them. When you've taken the hardpoint, the AR player must set up headglitching boxes, one SMG player should lay prone in the hardpoint watching the barn door while laying prone behind cover(pop up and kill when enemy contests, one player should support from top shop(if the enemy pushes in and get the HP, the guy will drop down from bottom and hopefully kill them as the enemy will be suprised) and the last guy should try and headglitch boxes watching gas station which is one of the two spawnpoints the enemy will have.

Streaks: Streaks aren't very important on this map, as 3 of the 4 hardpoints are under cover of a roof and the only hardpoint that is open has cover right next to it(brown), so only lightning strikes will be effective. Sentry guns are best placed on green window watching statue, on granny roof watching middle/tractor or at boxes watching green tank/statue.

To be continued...

This is only the beginning of the guide, I'm going to post this now so as to see the actual forum format and tweek it, and also to take a break before addressing the core part of this guide(gamemode guides and class creation). I hope you've enjoyed in introductory read until now, and feel free to post any feedback or general league information I haven't already listed.

Subject: Black Ops 1 vs Black Ops 2? Which do you prefer? - by: spartacon5267

Just curious, tell me which you prefer and why?

I actually prefer blops 1, I loved black ops 1 and my relationship with blops 2 is mixed at best. Blops 2 had some great ideas, the pick 10 system, the streaks are awesome, live streaming from the game, league play, zombies, etc.

But my problem(s):

1. The game feels incredibly anti-rusher. The AR's are garbage and the SMGs got nerfed to shit. While the camper weapons (Sniper rifles and LMGs) remain as OP as ever. I can't count how many times I've shot first, hit first, and still lost because I had a PDW and my target had a HAMR.

2. Suppressor damage drop. This is the first CoD where I can actually feel a damage drop in the suppressor.

3. I loved how in black ops 1 I hardly ever got blown up, no one really used explosives that often and when they did at least I could count on the blops 1 flak jacket doing its job.

4. I wasn't getting one shotted all the time, and when I did I couldn't complain because sniper rifles and shotguns actually took some skill.

5. The weapon balance. While the FAMAS and the 74U were OP, everything else was pretty well balanced. No one used LMGs, true, but I'm fine with that and I never heard that many complaints about it. In blops 2 everyone and their mom uses an LMG and the because the maps essentially blend together into one bigass line of sight it makes it very difficult to play agressively. You think they would have played the game first and thought "Wow, my B23R kills faster than my god damn SCAR-H. That's fucked up." Secondaries are supposed to be underpowered, that's why they're called secondaries.

6. The target finder, I unsubbed tmartn over that bullshit.

7. Lag comp, good concept, bad execution.

It's the noob friendliest CoD I've played, second only to MW3. I'm sick of the devs trying to give bad players or new players a crutch. They should have to get good at the game the way everyone else did, by putting in the time and learning how to play.

Subject: The hidden c4 game - by: BenzZos

This is a fun game I made up way back in cod4

Setup-custom game- FFA-unlimited time- 2 or 3 players. Have a c4 in your class. No engineer or flak, just a pistol.

1. Planter vs seekers, the seeker(s) sit in a corner while the planter hides a c4 somewhere on the map.
2. The planter then returns to the seeker(s) and has to guide the seeker(s) to the c4 by saying "hot" or "cold" (hot means closer, cold is wrong way)
3. The OBJECTIVE for the seeker(s) is to find the c4 then shoot it without dying to win the round, the OBJECTIVE for the planter is to blow the other guy(s) up so hide it well, if the seeker(s) survives the blast they win
4. Switch roles, play a best of 3 or 5
5. Have fun! As the suspense builds up you'll crap your pants if/when you blow up!

Feedback appreciated, most of my friends love it I hope you all do too
