C'mon now. We all saw this thread coming, now didn't we? I just couldn't resist anymore - had to do it.

Okay, now I suppose I'll explain Panic! to people that don't know them. You've probably heard of them before. Ya know, that emo band that all the little 13 year old girls like. That one. Well, call it what you want. It's not quite uhm, emo. Just, no. It started with Ryan Ross (guitar), Brendon Urie (vocals), Spencer Smith (drums), and Jon Walker (bass). That guy from Fall Out Boy, Pete Wentz made them all popular in 2005 when he founded his own record label. Their debut album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out also came with the single "I Write Sins Not Tragedies". Actually, the album was released in 2006, but whatevever. To promote the album the band went on the "Nothing Rhymes with Circus Tour" That's when they all looked extremely gay with their makeup. Oh, and none of them are actually gay, believe it or not. Live In Denver was recorded while on tour, but was not an official album, but a DVD.

Then a few years later, in 2008, they released Pretty. Odd.. Personally, I don't like this album. I've changed my opinion. I actually love this album. It's written so nicely. Ryan Ross for president. Anyway, it's much different than the first, much more mellow. Also, when this album was released, the ! was dropped from the band's name. While on the Pretty. Odd. tour, they also recorded ...Live In Chicago, they're only live album. In 2009, a tweet went out announcing lead guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker would be leaving for other musical ventures. They formed The Young Veins with a few other members and continues the more mellow music style. The Young Veins went on hiatus a year later.

In 2011, Vices & Virtues was released. The ! was added back to the band's name. This album is different than the first and second as well. The musical style is much more sophisticated, and I like it. Anyway, on the Vices & Virtues tour, they toured with Dallon Weekes and Ian Crawford. They were thought of a replacement to Jon and Ryan and were expected to eventually become part of the band. A couple days ago, Dallon tweeted that he was officially part of Panic! and that they would be planning to release a new album this year. No one knows about Ian. I think he just left. They've released a few singles through the years as well. And while Panic! and everyone are busy being productive, Ryan Ross is busy being a beautiful majestic dolphin. ◕‿◕

If you honestly read through all of my fan girling and summary - then seriously congratulations. But, here's an even shorter summary:

2006 - Release of first studio album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out
2008 - Release of second studio album Pretty. Odd. and live album ... Live In Chicago
2009 - Line up change. Ryan Ross and Jon Walker leave to start The Young Veins.
2011 - Release of third studio album Vices & Virtues
2012 - Line up change. Former touring bassist Dallon Weekes joins Panic! officially.

Okay, I'm done now. I just felt the need to inform all of you. Because I know you just all give so many shits. But it had to be done.

I remember when I used to like Panic! At the Disco. I bought their first album after hearing a few of their songs, and thought it was the greatest thing ever. So much so I made them my MySpace song. I suppose that sums up most people's early teenage years.
Check out my blog, it\'s suprisingly dull: welshboymick.wordpress.com

I see your forum post is using logic? Too bad you\'re on Hupit, where logic isn\'t accepted as a valid premiss to an argument.

Ya see everyone? Even Nixon liked Panic! Can't be all bad now.

But yeah - it was popular with lots of kids. The members at the time of their first album were all like 19 or something anyway. But then all their fans got older and grew out of 'em. Oh well. But, they still make music, and I still like it, anyway.
