How good is this laptop for gaming?
Im looking for a good work laptop that can run loads of games too, so can someone tell me if these specs are good:

Processor Quad-core AMD A6-3420M (1.4GHz, 1333MHz, 3MB Cache)
Operating System Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit
RAM 6 GB (Expandable to 8 GB)
Hard drive 500 GB
Graphics AMD Radeon™ HD 6520G


just want to play games like fallout new vegas, please someone let me know, dont really care for games like bf3 but would like mw2

For work, great. For games?? Don't be expecting Ultra high graphics. You could probably run most games on medium - low settings with probably around 30-40fps.
No trees were harmed in the creation of this post.

im really not fussed about playing on lower graphic settings, and im guessing 30-40 fps is pretty bad right? (im new to pc gaming and stuff)

Its not too bad really. But if you play a game on 60+fps and then play at 30 you really see the diffence. But if youve never really played at pc gaming I suppose your not gonna be spoiled by ultra high refresh rates lol.

haha exactly, thats why i really dont mind graphics on low.
would a game like fallout new vegas run well enough? and also (finally) is £400 a good price for a laptop like this

I think thats about the average price for a low-mid range laptop these days. Although if you were going to be gaming maybe then I would suggest looking for an i3 or an i5 laptop. AMD are typically behind the market as far as CPU's go these days, especially where gaming is concerned.

But on the other hand, laptops aren't really designed to be gaming machines.

i will be using this laptop for many other things so if games not but not perfectly thats completly fine, i think i probably will get this one if it runs games reasonably

you could probably run fallout new vegas, my old laptop is an athlon II dual core 2.3 Ghz with a HD 4250 integrated and i could run fallout 3 and fallout new vegas ok on low settings
