So Most of my friends on PSN have been telling me that sometimes you can also receive "tv" lag. I think I never have but, they said is because I'm used to it. They recently made the switch over to pc/gaming monitors. And say that now that they went to monitors they arent gaming on tvs anymore, i guess the monitors were black. my question is, Is it really worth it ? Just to save yourself a few more deaths ? I mean I have a decent HD TV so maybe this lag just affect the old tube tvs. What you guys think ?

If you watch lan events i think they all use monitors. Its probs beacuse it has a better reaction time and higher quality if you get a decent one. I am soon moving towards the monitor's they used at the last EGL event.

If you like my work please reward me with positive karma.

I mean if you're a pro then is understandable but when you are just an average gamer does it makes sense to do so ?

TV lag doesn't really exist as such. I'd recommend this tv if you want to reduce this so-called 'lag'.

I don't think it makes that big of a difference, but I think it's better to game on a smaller screen so your eyes don't wander too much.

Did you just try to make a black joke?!?!?! haha

Anyway the newer TV's have a lag of 10ms lag, while gaming PC monitors range from 2 to 5ms lag. To be honest its not at all game changing lag, your eyes cant even pick up on the difference. Your eyes can only see 24fps, so with a TV set with 10ms lag your only getting a lag of 2 to 3 frames per second. on PC monitor its only about 1 to 2 Frames, so not to big on difference.

This isnt true.

OT: There isnt that much of a difference performance wise, just pick a decent tv/monitor with 1920x1080+ resolution and good colors

I used a monitor for my xbox awhile back. It was a 24inch ViewSonic. I now have a 24inch HDTV and I can say that the monitor showed very clear. And it was using VGA at 720p. I personally would just stick with a tv but if you want a monitor then get a monitor
