I don't know about anybody else but I am kind of missing the third person gamemode from MW2. I think if Sledgehammer/Infinity Ward bring back this gamemode they will get more support from this thaen before because a lot of people say that they are getting tired of MW3. I think they would get more people back on this game that hated on it because it's bringing variety and it's a gamemode you usually sit back and enjoy yourself even if you go 0-22 every game because it is a change from the usual BS from FFA, TDM, and all the other gamemodes.

I think it could be a gamemode people can go to and just have fun and just enjoy there selves.

The problem with 3rd person playlists is that is separates the players. That's why we don't have hardcore and mercenary playlists for every single game mode in the entire game. When the players get split between too many playlists, there are less players is the popular playlists, thus more connection problems. Since 3rd person modes weren't played by very many people from what I remember, I would think it's smart that they were left out for MW3.

(No longer responding to quote) I don't think it would be worth it. I've played some 3rd person in private matches, and it isn't that great. CoD is an FPS. The way the maps and guns and such are made support first person more than third person. If they do make a game mode for it though, it couldn't hurt. It might be fun for a little while. Even if it isn't, I just wouldn't play it.

But 3rd person mode sucked...If you want a 3rd person shooter that's actually good, go get Uncharted 3 (or Gears of War I guess is the 360 equivalent), it's far superior.

Third Person sucked. Everyone just camped. I prefer the First Person game modes.

The problem with any "new" game mode is the fact that so very little people play them.

Kill Confirmed was a nice addition and a lot of people play it.

But the primary game modes(At least with player population)

-TDM
-Domination
-SnD
-Kill Confirmed.
-FFA(This can kinda go both ways there is a good amount of people playing it but in MW3 it's a pretty hated mode)

then other game modes like Sabo/HQ/Hard Core/Team Tac etc have people playing them,but it's no where near the mass majority.

Even in BO where everyone was calling for a Playlist that had no Second Chance/Ghost/Rapid Fire (and what ever else was taken out) I rarely saw over 10k in that playlist. The Comp playlist was the same way.

Devs don't mind putting in random/wanted game modes but it's probably not worth it when less then 10k people are playing the mode.

3rd person was never meant to be a full blown CoD game mode that was meant to be popular it was more of a change of pace kind of gamemode,give something different to play. But 3rd person isn't the best for an FPS (GoW pulls it off,Uncharted etc but those games have ALWAYS been that way) I've never been a fan of 3rd person shooters because of the built in flaws that you can't really patch(corner/wall camping)

But the problem is that it's hard to get a full game.

I get what your saying but if you think about how many people have stopped playing MW3 because they couldn't have fun while playing the game they could come back to it for 3rd person. And the problem with GoW and Uncharted is that it's not "Call of Duty", alot of people buy a game just because of the title of the game.

I can understand your frustration and must admit that I have (sometimes to my friends disliking) referred back to how fun and exciting the third person game modes are. Hope fully they might make a re appearance in the upcoming black ops 2, but infinity ward have a nack for trying to make money out of everything. I would not be surprised if IW launched a 3rd person 1200 Microsoft Point DLC closer to the Black Ops 2 release so as to get people back into COD ready for the latest to boost sales
