happened to me twice, oddly after i heard from a guy i play with it happened to him. domination we were 4v7... obviously lost the game and i was wondering how they were capping so many flags so easily until i brought up the scoreboard and they had 7 players to 4 on my side. [no, not ground war]

It's just a random glitch in the match making.

I had a 4 man party at one point on a domination match(6v6) On Village.

It started out normal as could be. We had them in a normal 2 cap,and were basically kill whoring(What else are we supposed to do when we already have 2 flags)

Well we had a split screen party on our team and they were basically getting destroyed. And I guess at the exact time they decided to quit out the host(on the other) backed out. So the gam registered It needed "3" People to join the match. It threw the 3 man party onto our team(they weren't very good)

We had 7 people. Then the host migrated(just a random migration,I guess because of the new people) And it added a 6th man to the other team. So we played a 7v6

Another occasion we played a 7v4 TDM. (I get lucky and always end up with the 7) To say the least it was a quick match.

I'm not entirely sure how it happens,but I'd imagine it has something to do with Host Migration and a odd number of people leaving and the system spazzing out and throwing a party in or randoms onto the team that doesn't need all of them.

I know in Infected(an already broken mode) We found out that a 7 man party for some reason can consistently just lock down a lobby. It's as if the game isn't sure what to do when you have a 7 man party. So we've played 10 matches in a row with just our party with a 1-2 people joining in then leaving. As soon as we dropped someone or added someone to the party it always gave us a full lobby, 7 people system tweaks out.

I've had it in Black Ops, only a 7v5 though. Once on Summit and once on Cracked.

Yeah, it's happened to me twice. Once was 6v7, and the other 5v7. Both times we ended up losing in very close games. My longest winstreak actually came to an end because of one of these games.

It shouldn't happen at all. There should be a code (several) written into the game to prevent it, but an error seems to have been overlooked. It's an incredibly basic dynamic of the game. Very disappointing that it even entered the game, never mind that it's not been removed yet.

I remember it happening on 2 occasions. Once in SnD MW2 and once recently in domination on MW3. The latter happened really early in the game and nobody left. Pretty one-sided 7 on 5.

Happened numerous times during my time as a CoD player. Most frequently during Black Ops were i remember a Groundwar game having like 11 people on one team and 7 on the other.

Hmm never happened to me or maybe I never realised it. This brings me to an idea : maybe a handicap game mode? Could be an interesting thing haha.

In MW3 it's a horrible idea. Lag comp already add an artificial handicap to the game. If I play solo 9/10 the connection is perfectly fine,but I'd hate to play that without a party(at least on the 5 man side)

In party Lag comp is almost always present and god for bid your connections are better then the other side. You're doomed. I feel handicap in a lot of 6v6 matches when in party.

Maybe back in BO/MW2/COD when someone with a good host gave a good connection everyone besides the person on the other coast or in the middle of the ocean. But even then say the guy with host is on 7 man team(he's in a party) and He's half decent. So you are 2 men down and have a slight connection disadvantage because he had host.

sorry ranted a bit. I think with the BS that comes up in every COD game people are already at a disadvantage depending on connection and what not.

Well if you can at least guarantee match making would successfully put games together based on location(the entire group if possible, like All east coast or west coast. Or all in Germany Or All in Britain) (which it obviously can,it can tell us on a giant map who is all logged onto MW3)

But I'm such a pessimist when it comes to COD and how people play it's hard for me not to think about what the 5 man team will always do(especially if they are worst)

a Decent/Bad 5 Man party would probably sit back the entire match and make the 7 come to them and cause the game to be super slow.

If the 5 players are solid/good/great against 7 decent/bad players It probably would be the reverse. The 7 people would sit back. Usually when one realizes their skill isn't as good as the other persons they try to give themselves the best chance to kill them (Headglitch/corner etc,which I understand)

Then I continue along that line and think well if it's 5 v 7 it becomes increasingly difficult to flank an enemy especially out numbered. Even in 9v9 it's a pain in the ass because common flank routes are more likely to have someone watching it or someone using it.

Sorry i'm a pessimist g0ggy haha. Maybe someone else who's a tad more positive can take over on this. I'm crushing his dreams and I feel bad haha

5 man party in search and we were 5v7. It was absolutely beautiful as we destroyed the other team. Our mindset was more free kills.

I ended up on the wrong end of a 5vs7. 5 of the 7 were in a party and were all very strong players. We got our shit stomped the first half of the match so my entire team ragequit, leaving me alone for a 1vs7. MW3 did not have enough compassion to find teammates for me so I ended up going all "Hidden Masters" on them.

yup, and sometimes it actually helps, having a bunch of scrubs on the other team, more kills for everyone

Its happened to me about 5-6 times. Only 2 were with me on the team with less people. We lost both

This has happened to me a handfull of times and I'm pretty sure the team with 7 always lost. I thought it had something to do with the team of 7 getting fucked on the host lag. Now I see by all the replies it was probably just a coincidence.

Yep happened to us. 3 vs 7 in regular domination. I would blame IW but it did happen in Black Ops as well.

Just luckily it doesn't happen very often.

Black ops it happened in a snd game we had 3 and they had 9. We obviously got annihilated because the other guy was like blind or something.

I.never saw it in Blops but looks like its just a random weirdness. I had good games but just couldn't win because they were capping flags too easily.
