I play on 7. Sensitivity 7 allows you to turn around the enemy a lot faster. Up close, the few seconds you save in the turn are vital to safety. With 7, the fluidity means a player can acquire the targets very quickly from a range of distances at ease. Conversely, in long-range engagements, precise movement is easy to line up. You expect your long distant shots to suffer. However, I aim relatively well at long distances.

Anyone else feel the same way?

4 on everything. I used to play on 9, but I stopped playing for a couple of months and couldn't go back to it.

That goes against everything else anyone has said so i'd say no.

There was a time during MW2 where I tried playing on a high sensitivity, just to see if I could. In Timesplitters, a PS2 FPS series I played, I played on the highest sensitivity comfortably. I wanted to see if I could replicate that in Call of Duty. However, in MW2 I couldn't handle the high sensitivity, even after playing with it for a couple of weeks. Short range was fine, as less precision was required, but at long range I suffered. I was a FAMAS/M16/ACR player in MW2, but on a higher sensitivity these weapons were near-useless to me, when compared to other weapons more powerful in CQB. When aiming at an enemy at range I had to move the left analogue stick to make the small adjustments required to get on target, as attempting to aim with the right analogue would more often than not throw me off target.

If it works for you, stick with it. My long range suffers too much with a higher sensitivity. The 'snap on' aim at range I have with a 3 sensitivity is of much greater value than the increased ability to turn on players at close range.

Follow the rules.

I used to dance around on 10 sensitivity on Black Ops and MW2, but I've dropped down to 3 now and my accuracy is loads better.

Don\'t add me if you want to play Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, or Black Ops 2. I don\'t play them and don\'t want to.

I play on 8, I'm on the PS3. When I play on the 360 I need to turn it down to a 3-4. I find there is less resistance on the PS3 joysticks which make it easier to play at a higher sensitivity. Anyone agree?

This highly depends on how worn out your specific controller is. My controller is 4-5 years old, and it easily has 100 days of playing on it, so it has NO resistance whatsoever.

Yeah, I do. I play on 6 and regularly joke about the P90 being a long-range weapon. Higher sensitivity allows quicker snap-on to the target at range, which sometimes makes the difference. It's nowhere near as easy to kill at long range with high sensitivity, but you can definitely get used to it with some practice and good burst-fire technique.

As I rush pretty much constantly I benefit somewhat from the increased sensitivity. Mostly I just try to avoid long range gunfights, unless it's a sniper. Probably a bad idea but if they can quickscope then I can longshot them with SMGs. Also the HAMR scope and high sensitivity is surprisingly effective.

The only reason I move above a 4 is because I wanted a faster time on the sniper Spec Ops mission. I'm thinking of lowering my sensitivity a little now as I'm tiring of the mission (one of top two on console) and I don't feel my shot is as accurate if I'm not playing as often as I once was.

Why take an easy 4 if you can put in some effort and get a 9?

For the basis of my behaviour and psychology, generally I am just like everyone else. That alone does not make me unoriginal. I am unlike anyone that has ever come before me, and I am the amalgamation of everyone I have ever met. I am the culmination of several events that have never been combined before. I am unique, in the exact same way as everyone else.

2. Its usually the norm in any first person shooter, so I don't have to continually keep messing with the sensitivity in every game I play.

I was so used to 10. That I decided to try a 5, I then noticed that with a 5, I played a lot better. Even though I thought it was too slow for me, I eventually got used to it and thought it was perfect.

On Black Ops I played on 9 sensitivity and found it very easy, on MW3 I only play on 4-5 because 9 seems so much harder to control on MW3 than on Black Ops.

To be frank “a couple of weeks” aren’t the right time for you to adjust to a new sensitivity setting. I became comfortable with sensitivity 7 after a little more than a year. At long distances, you have time to line up your shots so the speed isn’t of much value. As long as you hit the target a few times the enemy often dies, if not by you then your teammates will surely finish the player off.

If you have similar accuracy on a low sensitivity than to a high one, then a higher setting is by far a lot better.

I tend to avoid long-range battles, since it’s not the role of an Assault player and the weapon isn’t suited very well for distant engagements. Although, that’s not to say an Assault can’t pick off a enemy at range with ease. However, if I do I ensure at least a couple of bullets hit the enemy as then my team can finish the player off. I prefer medium gun fights the most as the range displays the best skill of aim and reaction time.

I always stick to certain sensitivity, if I change for absence or some other reason the difference in movement off sets my aim by a bit.

Those couple of weeks were during the summer before the release of Black Ops, the time when I played MW2 the most. I was playing the game almost non-stop, at least 3 hours a day. A couple of weeks like that was a lot of play time. Perhaps had I stuck with the higher sensitivity for longer I may have finally gotten to grips with it at range, but I'm not that patient. I knew I could play perfectly comfortable at range with 5 so I dropped back down. My range game is too valuable to me (especially now in MW3) to spend the time trying to adjust to a higher sensitivity. Kudos to you though, that's a lot of time spent becoming comfortable with a high sensitivity, and it's clearly paid off. If I remember correctly your K/D was higher than mine in MW3 from quite some time.

Thanks much for that.

In the for fun GB matches, I clearly noticed you were accurate at range. A few times, you picked me off with high precision.

Regards to K/D my stat has been almost the same with a few fluctuation points, which it was slightly higher for a period then dropped to a set in stone number.
