As useless as every other stat in a videogame

It is meaningless IMO.

My accuracy was good until I unlocked extended mags on my M60.

It tells a lot about a player's style of game I would think. I have a little higher accuracy but that's because I usually use Assault Rifles and I'm generally a little farther back picking kids off so I am more careful about my shots. A rusher would probably have a lower K/D just because they are obviously taking more shots.

I think accuracy only matters to snipers, For everyone else it can only reveal if you suck (3% acc), for shotguns it doesn't matter at all. Btw how big of a difference is 1% anyway everyones accuracy is usually between 18 and 22

But seriously accuracy doesn't mean much, the most accurate player in the world could have 100% accuracy, connecting every shot but will always get put down by people hip-firing and pre-firing around those corners.

I hip fire, pre fire, thanks to last stand I post fire. I often shot SMGs across map. I even shot wildly at nothing just as the round ends, and if the entire other team rage quits, i will shot all of my ammo at my teams until the forfeit timer goes to 0. %accuracy means nothing.

as a stat,its 50% important.

it comes with the crap that pushes the numbers up and down, indeed, but lets face it, if you can't hit the barn door the targets ain't gonna drop.

I have poor accuracy. I normally shoot a few bullets into the air at the start of a match or spray at a wall cuz i think there's someone behind it. I don't think it's that important tho.

I only have 16.68% accuracy and I use mostly Assault rifles, Sub-machine guns, and the USAS12.

I focus on my accuracy quite alot, mainly because i find if my accuracy goes up, my scores go up. Because for so reason hip-fire and pre-firing round a corner ever rarely work for me, even if i hit them first i still normally drop dead (and then the hit markers will hit all at once). So yeah i focus on my accuracy quite a bit, cause the fundamentals that should give me tactical advantage (pre-firing and hip-firing, in certain situations) just never seem to work even in those certain situations should work. Just unlucky i guess.

firstly guns kill so quick in this game missing a few shots here and there wont make you loose that many gun fights.

also as stated many times by everyone above me, this stat is too dependent on both what gun you use and what your connection is like. but both those factors will also affect you your kd and wl.

anyway no stats really matter in cod because they can all be easily inflated and make a player look better than they actually are. you are not matched against players based on your skill level, so your stats mean nothing.

its funny cause in bo when the other team would forfeit i would just spin around shooting my gun for the 20 or so seconds, that kind of hurt my accuracy when it happend multiple times a night.

i have had a 70% accuracy as host in a game going 3-8 before i quit because i would unload a whole clip of hitmarkers into someone only to have them 1 shot me. when im not host i manage between a 1-8 KDR usually about a 2 KDR on average with a 17-24% accuracy, so i dont give a damn about accuracy. im beginning not to give a damn about MW3.

Watching stuff like ronaldinho1224's videos, I can't help but think that if I had that laser accuracy, I'd never lose a gunfight.
