Updates guise: I tweeted to a CoD Elite support guy about the clan tags and the last thing he suggested was to make someone else a leader for them to try it, then switch me back to leader again.

Yep, easy deal. I actually tried all of that stuff by creating my own clan just to get familiar with the system.
