Hey everyone, Hupit as we can all see is no longer this popular awesome site it once was. SO as the community how can we revive it? Also the Hupit youtube channel is pretty much inactive and we need to get that back up and running. So post your opinions on how to revive the Hupit tree and make it better.
Personally I believe just filling the comments of Woody's videos and other big commentators with Hupit. Also, shouting out Hupit in your youtube videos to push traffic to the site. And to get the channel going again comment on Woody's videos just saying to start it up again.

That is the root of the problem: a lack of publicity of HUPIT.

I believe that if everyone from HUPIT banded together and became the community that it should and can be, that alone would draw attention. If a potential member were to know that if he joined, that he would join a gaming "family", so to speak, that would always be at his aid he very well be plenty more interested. That all may sound a tad high-strung, but that's the very thought I had when I first joined this site.

Another good thing to do would be redecorating. I've been with this site for awhile now, and I have seen that very same background and interface since I started. I'm not calling for us to make a complete overhaul on everything, but sometimes alittle change and updating is good.

I believe if we as a community strengthened our bonds, and if we get a makeover, along with your thoughts, that they could potentially relight that flame of popularity that has weakened for all this time.

Here's a fact, I've been here for ticking over 2 years now, under the account MrGenlock which got banned for infidelity with a mod (I blew him, shit was so ca$h money nigga). The short answer: Hupit has been fucked too much.

But there's one, encompassing reason to why Hupit is down shit creek without a paddle, and that is the leadership wants to write it off and they won't let me buy the website. Then I would take out a loan and hire a lawyer, have them to write up some legal documents so that we can become a YouTube network, get a bunch of directors to spin money for us. I'd hire mods that are good, but also humorous, and if someone got trolled, we'd laugh at them until they left.

Also, posting "Come to Hupit Gaming to get a rub" on commentators comment section? What are we, 12?

We must make more interesting [lets plays, commentaries, montages, dual commentaries, etc] videos on Youtube that mentions Hupit Gaming.

The primary reason is the inactive leadership. Justified or not the top two tiers of people running the site aren't keeping stuff in working order.

The forums, are a bit more an issue of you need members posting to get more members. But I haven't been wild about the moderation, which kept me away for a few months.

The youtube channel has effectively been killed off by inability of the commitee as a whole to get anything done. But even more so by those in charge not getting stuff done, or delegating the responsibility to people who will. At this point it looks like a power grab and an active attempt to kill the channel. All while putting anyone who'd want to help through enough trouble that they just give up. Seriously, I know it won't have 37k subs, but don't even bother with the HupitGaming channel and make a new one instead because it'll be faster to rebuild than try to deal with the current staff.

And in the end that's the problem. Admins have proven not to be a reliable way to see anything get done (just look at the YT channel), let alone in a timely manner. They've left, the only thing that remotely sets this site apart from any other now is the sharing gamertags feature. But that's not a long term community, it's a way to connect with people. My suggestion is to pack up and find a better home.
