I get the feeling that many people day in day out slate MW2 and label it as the worst CoD game to date. I'd like to disagree with that: It's not by chance that most of the people on my FL have the most time played on MW2 out of all of the CoDs (the majority 30+ days).

Also, MW2 innovated the most (apart from maybe CoD4 introducing the perk system), MW2 introduced customisable Killstreak rewards, which keep many fans interested.

MW2 was so face paced and dangerously addictive. I don't think it gets all the credit that it's due. Sure there is the noobtube problem, but when you get into the 'right' lobby, it was and still is the most fun CoD to date in my opinion. Please share yours and discuss.

It was the best game IMO but the community ruined it like you try find a SnD game where you use a UMP like I would and most players would curse at you for not sniping.
FFA is riddled with booster whom are easy meat for my hammer of justice.
Noobtubes piss me off they were stupidly Over powered.
Care Package glitching was prevalent in a good few games I played .

But if the community didn't ruin the game it had Great Hit detection , Decent map design (Terminal was shit) Gun balance and mostly fast paced action.

One of the most enjoyable.

I'd actually place it better than CoD4 to be honest. Only thing that ruined it was Danger close. In fact thats a lie, DC was great with air support just as soon as someone used a noobtube it became OP. I had no problem with normal noobtubes or any explosives for that matter it even with OMA combined they were fine because you could counter them. However DC added too much explosive multipler which lead to good players with gun skill getting screwed over

Bad game made worse but the community who found out just how bad the game was and exploited it. MW2 was the only CoD which has made me stop playing the series to take a break due to it's insane amount of bullshit.

It wasn't the worst, however wasn't the best as well.

The game was fun until our community exploited the shit out of it. It was fun until the amount of noob tubers grew immensely, basically destroying the game. The game is fun though, especially when you get into BS free lobbies... but that's probably a 1/9000 chance now. It was my 3rd COD, and probably the most addictive to me. Another thing: IW had the worst game support ever. It had the best hit detection, and I liked the gun balance, since most of the guns was viable.

So overall, the game was fun in the beginning, but I would never go back to it now. The amount of support that IW gave to that game pissed me off, and the amount of bullshit is too immense for me to experience all over again. .. But I mean if they removed the noob tubes, commando, danger close, and deathstreaks.. I'd play that over MW3 anyday.

No, it just had stupid things in it. Take away tubes OMA etc and its a pretty good game, better than MW3

When I play MW2 after playing MW3 periodically, I'm all like "Wow, this actually feels like I'm playing a real game right now."

Yes, for me, it is the worst CoD game. I never was so frustrated with any game like I was with Modern Warfare 2. I only managed to play it for 4 months and decided that this game is bad for my sanity so I stopped playing.

It was a good game, if you removed the following:

- Danger Close
- Grenade Launchers
- One Man Army
- Commando

And added just one thing.

My personal opinion, MW2 was an amazing game. Yes, there were weapons that were considered to be OP and very difficult to counter back and yes, IW is one of the more lazier companies that does not support the game.

The worst one was COD3 for me, COD4 is the memento, COD5 was to par with Black Ops for me, and MW2 is very likable. MW3 probably in between COD3 and WAW/BO.

I absolutely loved the first 3-4 months of MW2. It was a fantastic sequel to COD4.

Fast Paced. Good weapons. spawns in TDM/DOM werent bad at all (FFA the revenge spawn was annoying)

on the PS3 the CP glitch was fixed pretty quickly (fast running) Javelin Glitch got fixed) Then we didnt have the crazy Emergency Air Drop glitch/people couldn't do it. so that wasn't a major issue.

-Commando was annoying but far from game breaking
-OMA/DC is where the major issue with game came from. That was game breaking for the most part you had 0 chance to kill that person if he got a shot off in your general area.

Some people legit didn't like the game (weapons killed too fast,so they considered that unbalanced when every weapon could be "good" so they prefered BO which had bad hit detection on top of only a small handful of weapons being useful(depending on what the other team was using)

If they decided to actually patch MW2 (fix OMA/DC) I would gladly play that game right now over any other COD game out. IDC if the UMP may have been "OP" or the ACR was OP or every gun in the game was OP. You know what the damn thing was fun. It's not meant to be "realistic" it's an FPS arcade shooter. The only realism is that it's a "real" gun and "real" kill streaks with locations based of real world locations.
Quickscopers weren't even an issue in that damn game I rarely got killed by them. I got killed by snipers,but rarely that kind of situation.

It was a fantastic game. But because of how it ended up most people refuse to remember how it was in the beginning (if they even played it in the beginning) Some of the best maps in the COD Series.

Black Ops was by far the worst in the series in my opinion. For the first couple of months, MW2 rivaled the fun I had in COD4.

Mw2 is the second Worst COD in the recent series to me. Never played COD1-3 so I can't talk about those.

Everygame of TDM I'm playing an explosion is going off, 5 pieces of air support is in the air and someone is lunging 20ft. to kill someone with a knife as the last remnants of my soul die out.

Best CoD imo is MW2. Worst CoD- Blops because everyone started using assassin/ghost/cold-blooded after that.

I've been pretty opinionated on this: MW2 was the worst CoD game that I have played, but most of its problems were avoidable. When we look back, there was a Javelin glitch that lasted a few weeks, a care package glitch that lasted a few months, out of balanced Model 1887's that somehow made it through a patch, in-map glitches on Afghan and Fuel, in-game boosting and prestige lobby boosting, one man army, danger close, commando, dominating killstreaks, and gun balance issues that weren't game-breaking, but were annoying nonetheless.

If none of those came into play throughout the game, it was enjoyable. The maps were good, Underpasss and DLC maps aside. They were bright, and easy to see people. Hit detection was good, though I've never really had a problem with hit detection in any cod game. Gun balance was adequate; I didn't like the fast killing or the fact that there were guns that outclassed the rest, but that is Call of Duty for you. It really is a mystery how well MW2 could/would/should have been with the support Black Ops or MW3 received. At it's core, MW2 was a great game, think of Lindsay Lohan in her Mean Girls days. But all those issues turned the game into the rehab Lindsay that everyone is ashamed of. MW3 at its core is a bad game, but is at least attempting to make itself better, like putting makeup on a pig.
