Hello there guys!

Thanks for stopping by, need a quick bit of help. I only played Black Ops for a day or so total, right when it came out, and I haven't played for a long time.

I was wondering if you guys could help me out. Simply post the best possible AR and SMG class for a 1v1 FFA. I don't really remember anything about the perks or guns or any possible nerfs/buffs so it'll really help.

Backstory: 3 of my friends and I have a psychology project due next week and we each do our part and then one of us has to organize it and put it all together. This time it's either my friend's turn or mine, so we were going to do a toin coss to decide it. I jokingly proposed we settle it with a 1v1 CoD match, seeing as this particular friend played occasionally. Suprinsgly, he agreed to it, but only if we played Black Ops. He actually believes he's better than me at Black Ops(he has a lot more time played than me), but he has a mediocre K/D of about 1-1.25 on all CoDs. I barely play with any of my RL friends because they're horrid and they play really little...and they only speak spanish.

I should beat him fairly easily, simply want to make sure I use the best possible class.

I'd rather use Dual Pythons. Double CZs are good, but they lack the fire power and the Pythons are like a shotgun in close range. They are mostly the same as you know them from the Magnum in MW3. Very effective if you are going to play on Nuketown and he's sitting in one of the buildings.

If you are playing against someone who doesn't have a headset I would also recommend Tac Mask Pro especially when playing on Nuketown. Just throw out your stuns and you can already see the direction where he is moving. Most people don't expect someone using Tac Mask pro or don't even know it's effect. You might surprise him there with one or two kills while he thinks you are flashed/stunned.

Don't quote me on that one, but I think flashbangs have a larger blast radius + they are more effective if he starts camping. Don't forget : throwing stuns is much faster than throwing FBs in Blops.

If you are going to play very defensive use your claymore. Otherwise I suggest a jammer or a motion sensor if he isn't running Hacker Pro. Claymores were pretty strong tools in Blops. Their set off charger is way faster than in IW's games.

This is just some other tactics you could use if you are allowed to change your class during the game. Gotta keep it flexible

I'm going to go play extremely arrogantly, so no defensive play. I mean I really truthfully know I am quite a bit better, so it shouldn't be a problem. I'll keep all of that in mind, thank you g0ggy.

g0ggy you are right flash bangs to have a larger blas radius than concussions. Here is a video that goes in depth with flashes, stuns, and tac mask pro.



Also what is the set of rules you are playing? Are you allowed to use equipment, killstreaks? What map is it? etc.

Just remember at long ranges with the famas, dont spray, just burst fire.

No real need for Hacker if you are playing with equipment since you will normally survive a claymore with Flak Jacket.

If you get stuck in a lot of long range gunfights, Hardened Pro might do the trick

lol half of these classes are shit. you can tell people who have never played a competitive match.

only reason i run dual czs is the draw time is the same as any single pistol. by the time you pulled your pythons out you would be dead

Jusr to confuse you right before hand if its only 1v1 I find SOH to not be as effective as hardened, considering a lot of 1v1's are headcamp fests
