The idea is to establish an 'official' hupit GFX committee. Basically a group of you lovely people working together(or individually) to help out the community, doing avatars, backgrounds and maybe if geoff get's on board with it you could do some work for the site.

As of now there's pretty much nothing i can offer you, apart from some karma and a thank you, but hopefully if change happens the possibility is that you could be given hupit points, in exchange for your services.
What good are hupit points?
Well... they aren't any good yet, but hopefully we'll be introducing ways for you to use them, discounts from the store or being entered into a draw to win xbl/psn points etc.

Of course i'm not asking you all to become our own in house design team, but if you think you could help out people now and again with some GFX work let me know by replying below and we'll see about making it more official; possibility of a forum rank, or a ribbon (you could design it!)

This is still in the 'idea' stage so feel free to agree/disagree with anything i've said.

I like that idea. If one person was in charge of delegating requests to the GFX guys who signed up, it may run smoothly. instead of running a free-for-all thread. Though it may be a full time job for one person.


It's somewhat organized, somewhat disorganized over at the Free Recording thread. A lot less organized that Sgt. Buck isn't running it, he had it on lock down nicely. I get PSN messages a bunch from people who have like 2 posts and are flat out rude if i don't respond instantly., and i have to go back to here double check their post count.

Yeah, we would need one or two people to be 'heads'.
That way it'd be less confusing and less likely for the same work to be done by 2/3 people.

If it starts up i would be fine regulating who does what, but what would be the best way to decide who gets what, and how to we let the artist know it is his/her job?

Possibilities?
We could split the group up into specialized fields, such as youtube backgrounds; banners; signatures; avatars or whatever sub-category the artists feel best describes their work. Then depending on what a user requests will result in who gets chosen.

A way to let the artist know that they have been requested for a job is either, PM them on hupit, @them on twitter or even message them on skype.

There is also two ways in which a user can request graphics, PM me directly by clicking a link LIKE THIS(this would allow me to lock the thread and keep it more organised) or just reply to the thread.
