Thanks for the help so far! As of right now i'm still looking at the astro a40s. If I do get these, I'll most likely buy them on amazon for $45-$75 dollars less then on astro's website. If you this headset and could help me out and let me know a bit about it such as the sound quality, durability, comfort, etc. That would help a lot Thanks!

Astros are, in my opinion over priced. I own the Tritton AX.720 headset, does exactly the same job (7.1 Virtual Surround Sound) for a third the price of Astros.

Another option would be to buy the Turtle Beach DSS amp (does the same job as the astro mixamp) for around £60-70 and invest in a real good quality pair of audiophile headphones. You'd end up paying around the same, or less (if your good at bargain hunting) as the astros, for better quality sound overall.

But if your money is burning a hole in that deep pocket of yours, and you truly have your heart set on the A40's then go for it. They are (from what I've researched) a superb headset. Just a little too pricey for my purse lol

Thanks for the help! I'm going to wait a few months or so before I decide on what i'm going to buy. I'm going to keep looking into reviews on different headsets and if anyone still has anything they can help with that'd be great. Thanks!
