I've been getting mixed reviews about Battlefield. I'm not sure if I should buy it..for all of you who own or has played it...is the game worth buying? Can you please provide me with lists of the pro's and con's of battlefield3 (and your opinion) Apparently everyone camps in it ...or so I've heard :/ err

It can be a fun game when played with friends in a squad. The maps come in a variety of large open maps, to industrial complexes with lots or cover and buildings, to and entire island.

As for the "everyone camps", that is complete bullshit. Even with the limited player capacity on the consoles I see people all rushing around capturing objectives, flanking the enemy, flying to defend and area, sometimes it can get pretty hectic. Especially in the Rush game mode where players can gain ungodly momentum and start taking out your objectives before you even know what hit you.

But honestly? I would save that cash and go Pre-order Halo 4. I know i have.

I'll give you two warnings.

If you're going to buy it, buy it for PC if at all possible. If you can play it on PC, it can be a really great game. But I'm assuming you mean console. If not, ignore the rest of what I say.

Here comes my second warning - get it for console if and only if you know you've got a handful of people you can play with any time.



Unless you've got people you can play with, just don't don't don't buy the game. You'll only frustrate yourself. The console is very sub-par compared to PC, and really not that much fun. I'm trading in my copy towards Ghost Recon on Tuesday, and I almost never trade in games. The last time I did, I was getting an Xbox. So that should give you a hint.



The game itself is sub-par on console, but not bad.

What makes it not worth playing on console is everybody else.

Medics won't heal or revive you.

Engineers don't destroy vehicles.

Support gunners neither give ammo nor suppress the enemy with their giant 200-round LMGs.

Recons are completely blind.

In short, 90% of players, on console, are useless.



Save up and buy something else instead. Maybe Battlefield 2143 when that is made. Or maybe Black Ops 2. Or Rainbow 6 or Ghost Recon. I don't know what your poison is, but you'd almost certainly be better off picking another game. I'm more than willing to recommend some other games over Battlefield 3 if you say what kind of games you're into. Meanwhile, I'll be trying to pick up Black Ops again.

Console suffers from design flaws. The game was made for PC, and they haven't adjusted console versions properly. The teams are literally a third the size of what they were supposed to be. Maps like Caspian Border, Operation Firestorm, are unplayable because there aren't enough people to fill out the map. And things like that are the biggest flaws of BF3. The game isn't bad in itself, or at least not to me, it just has received a very poor transition from PC to console, which has made it quite frankly boring as fuck.

Like I said, PC or go home.

To be honest,no.Theyre alot of skilled players and youll probably just get fustrated.It takes a while getting use to everything,if you buy it,be prepared for the amount of shit thats in bf3.
