So basically, you are asking for the game mechanics to be re-written just because
YOU suck with snipers?
I'm with IRHyMEzx on this one. Get better at using them and aim for the head. No one is forcing you to use the snipers, plus they aren't all that hard to use. Learn the bullet drop and range of the snipers and they become as usable as any other weapon.
Can we clear this up? As I said I rarely snipe, because I'm pretty subpar at it, not horrendous, I can hold my own and usually come out with a decent k/d but actual contribution ot the team is minimal, I acknowledge this, so therefore I tend to leave it alone. My issue is not that I suck however it's that it's very difficult for snipers whether it is me although more frequently other people on my team to have a positive effect on the teams standing that is equal to if they were using another class.
I don't care if it's more points for spotting in order to encourage it(though that goes for all classes)but something should be done to make sniping a more viable team player option. As opposed to something that just boosts your own k/d.

Also, I want to address these statement right here:
All glint does is allow other snipers to see each other. So instead of focusing on important areas of the map, (M-Com sites etc.) you're too concerned with other snipers because if you dont get them they'll get you.
I don't see your problem. You see the glint, pop the guy through the eye socket and then go back to watching the important areas. It's not like you are engaged in a 5 min sniper duel or something.
The areas of the map where the most action is taking place is also where people are generally on the move. Yes no shit it would be easier if I was better and could get headshots, thanks for that Rhymez. But I'm not so if I were sniping (which I occasionally do) why would I target these areas where everyone's running around in some bat shit cluster fuck if it's unlikey for me to get head shots?
Because you just took of 70+% of the enemy's health, that's why. You may not get the kill, but you may have just saved your teammates life if he were to come across that enemy in said clusterfuck. It's not all about you and your kills, it's about you and your team and doing what it takes to win.
Ok fair point I agree with that
I still stand on my point that something should be done that allows snipers to contribute more to the team or encourage them to contribute more.
I'll do something that not a whole lot of people do on the internet and admit I was wrong. Greater chest multiplayer is not the answer, I acknowledge that.
