I thought i would put up this post to see why you guys enjoy playing battlefield! XD

It can be about any BF game

Well i guess i will start with why i enjoy it !

One of the main reasons i enjoy this game so much has to be the sound qal its one of the best features in the game also the fact its hard to get doubles or triples (if your not using an LMG or blowing up something with people in it) its just that more enjoyable! I guess the final thing would be that i like to play as a team and you have to do that to get a good score. (unless your playing a really retarded team!)

Well thats why i love it how about you guys ?

The size of the battles was what first drew me to the franchise with 1942, the 0 killstreaks is what is basically keeping me.

im kind of new to BF, BFBC2 is the first in the series i have played. i like that it's much more team oriented than COD and the fact you can destroy nearly everything in the game is pretty awesome!!

Re: The reason you love battlefield ? 2 years, 9 months ago #127397

The emphasis on teamwork.

Sniping with the 12x scope made me want to buy it in the first place.

Weapon balance. (Excluding An-94 and M60)

The all around experience.

I really suggest you go into some of the older BF games, they are all still played. You probably can get BF1842 for $5, I know you can buy Battlefield 2 + all the expansions for $15, Battlefield Heroes is free, ect ect. From my experience the only older BF game that has a relatively quiet community now is BF2:MC on the 360.

I played a lot of bf2 and bf2142 on the pc. I loved those games for the big maps, loads of players and the unlock and rank system that I think was revolutionary at the time. I also was really big into the stats and what not. I played the first bad company and I thought that was amazing and now with bad company 2 which is more like the original pc versions of the game I love it even more. Oh yeah and the bad ass theme song, can't forget that

I'm still new to Battlefield series, three reasons are teamwork, spawn points & weapon balance.

I really loved the hotswap function in the singleplayer BF2:MC, and bullet drop (plus the fact that you can be far away enough to see it.).

Large, long-lasting battles.
Encouragement of teamwork over lone-wolf KILL KILL KILL KILL KILLLLLLL[/Metallica ala St. Anger] play.
More realistic ballistics instead of hitscans.(Though the identical speed and bullet drop from all weapons is kind of "meh")
A developer that actually cares to fix issues and balance weapons.(Though they're just as happy to charge you extra for content that's already on-disk, ala VIP[for non-new copy buyers] and Onslaught mode)
Destruction 2.0

What first drew me in was the BFBC1 ads. They showed people riding around in Golf Cart while tanks and chopper were duking it out and stuff was getting blown up. I was like "I have to get that game!" But, it was only available for the PS3/360. That's when I began researching PS3s, Wiis, and Xbox 360s. I bought a Wii because it looked cool and was the cheapest at the time. About 6 months to a year later, I wanted to get GTA4, but it wasn't available for the Wii. So, I researched the other consoles, and decided that a PS3 would be better for me than a Xbox 360. When I heard about the PS3 Slim, I was sold 105%. I sold my Wii and got a PS3 with GTA4. Around that time I was looking at other games, and I really wanted BFBC1. I saw that it was only $20 online, so I went to the local Best Buy, but they didn't have it stocked. A few months later, I got into the BFBC2 Beta, and I was sold.

The reason i love battlefield is the satisfaction you get from doing things well.

Earlier today i had a game, we were defending, and the other team was content to sit up on a hill and snipe, this was arica harbor btw. So i was just pushing up the side and i look down from the rock i was on and see an entire squad just sitting there. So one scar-l mag and one m9 mag later they were all dead and i got to teabag 4 bodies at once.
Then later against that same team they were defending on Isla Inocentes, and now my team was the bush wookies. I believe i destroyed half of the mcom stations, ad most of the time it was just me sitting behind cover trying to fend off the hordes of people for long enough. On the last on my recon team mate tried to pile C4 on the MCOM, he of course failed somehow, and blew up my cover.

So yeah i love BF since it has balance and takes actually skill/teamwork to do well/win.

I have most of the battlefields and its really the same things in each game.

The teamwork.
The large scale battles where you can actually flank people.
The small elements of stealth.
Vehicles, they always give you something to do and switch it up.
The sound.

If anyone plays BF2 still (NADE SPAM OMGARD) try Project Reality, its epic.

#1: It's an altogether intellegent, tactical game.
#2: Getting killed by M60's, An-94's, and CG's is more bearable than OMA Tubes, Commando, and RPG's.

I find it incredible frustrating. everyone is an idiot, no one talks, time to kill is bullshit, indestructible helicopters, slow paste, map suck, worst possible spawn system all I can think of at this moment.
