Hey, what's going on guys. My name is Josh and I am the leader and co-founder of the "Matrix Gaming" clan. My friends and I started this clan to try to get back into GBs and to reach out to find hardcore and talented gamers that play the Battlefield and CoD series. We're looking for gamers that strive to win, but want to have fun at the same time. Our main games we'd play would be BF4 and CoD Ghost, but Minecraft, Titanfall, and Halo 5 will definitely be up there. We will be recruiting up until the release of BF4. If you're interested in joining Matrix Gaming, message me on here or Xbox-iRespect xo. You can also get in touch with the other co-founder on Xbox @ mnteer96. Hope to see you in Matrix Gaming and we'll see you, on the battlefield.
- Josh (MTrX)

Subject: CALL OF DUTY GHOSTS WILL LAG ON PURPOSE - by: batmandobbins

SPREAD AWARENESS START A MOVEMENT RISE UP AGAINST THESE CRUEL OVERLORDS

The basic thesis is this: COD developers implemented lag on purpose to create a system of chaos that will provide at least one good game to every player out there; wheras without lag the strong would destroy the weak and newer players non stop. They want to get 1 good game to every player because they know that's all it takes to get them hooked, kind of like cigarettes.

Ive included the argument and explanation here in text, but if you aren't interested in reading it all I will link the vid i made about it directly below. At the bottom, ill include a video. video that is not mine but that i think vividly shows that the lag is built into the game.

To understand why call of duty lags and will continue to lag on purpose, you have to first accept that call of duty is a product made by a business seeking to maximize profits, its not about the fairness of the game, its not about how well it runs its about how much money it can make
Now the business model for call of duty is different from other games, the cod business model is actually very similar to cigarette companies business models, the idea is to get you addicted, and then it doesn't matter what kind of product they put out because you are an addict you will buy it regardless.

And I don’t mean to sound like a condescending prick, but I do kinda roll my eyes and chuckle whenever I see someone in the comments section of a video or whatever calling this the worst Call of Duty ever and its such a garbage game, because the fact of the matter is they are posting these comments after watching a call of duty video, and the only reason they know it sucks is because they bought and played the most recent call of duty.

People give these full dissertations as to why the game sucks, this gun is way OP and the spawn system is broken and its so laggy, so obviously if you know these things you have played the game extensively, right, that’s the only way you can know these things otherwise your just talking out your ass which is even dumber.

These folks, just like the majority of us, are addicts, addicts who are pissed off because they cant get their high.

And I speak from experience because I am guilty of the same stuff, I remember when Black Ops 1 came out it had serious lag issues, and I went from being this self proclaimed demi god on MW2 to just getting destroyed in black ops 1 because of the serious lag issues that game had, and I raged on comments sections and the forums and told everyone what a terrible game it was, meanwhile I continued to play the game, because I was addicted heavily, and I still am, and ive bought every cod since then just like the rest of these kids who been proclaiming the franchise is dead for 5 years as it continues to break sales records.

Generally, addicts hate the thing they are addicted to, that’s what makes it an addiction as opposed to something you just enjoy doing. So all this hate that cod gets is irrelevant to the developers because they know youll keep buying the game, otherwise they would have addressed the lag issue by now, but they haven’t because despite all that frustration with it, in terms of maximizing profits, the lag in call of duty is a net plus, and it is something they have done on purpose
And keep in mind it would be pretty easy to fix these lag issues, rewriting a bit of code in the engine and getting the game on dedicated servers, that’s what I always feel like is the biggest slap in the face to cod players, is that we still don’t have dedicated servers when even homefront with its ps2 graphics and all of 100 total players gets dedicated servers.

The cod developers goal is to give every player that one game, that one really really good game where for some mysterious reason everything goes their way, they get all their scorestreaks and drop a 10k/d.

Because they know that if they can give you that one game you will be hooked, if you play that one good game you are going to be playing for a long time trying to recreate that success, to get that rush again.

Im sure most of you remember the match that got you hooked, in fact you probably remember several, as do I, and that’s the ultimate success of any product, is creating that emotional connection between you and the product, and if you remember a really good game you had, that’s what that is
The first two matches that I think really got me hooked were on mw2, and they were both tactical nukes, first one was wasteland ctf and I remember the fat adrenaline rush I got as I was in the chopper gunner, and I remember when I called it in I just put my controller down and stood up and I was like FUCK YES and then I fell to my knees because it was the most adrenaline my body had ever tasted and I was feeling kinda light.

Second one was a tactical nuke on sub base, and I was playing with my boy tomy and I had come out of the chopper gunner and I knew I was really close to the nuke like 2 or 3 kills but my gun was out of ammo and this is back when I was a little pussy and I was just camping in one of those staircases by the walkway If you remember that thing and I would not leave the room and I was freakin out heart beatin hella fast and I was like "shit tommy what do I do im out of ammo!"

And tommy came over to me, cooked a grenade and kills himself giving me his acr, and I use the acr to camp for the nuke and I got it and that was fucking epic we felt epic it was an epic story it was funny and we were both just ecstatic over that shit
And so that’s how they get you addicted right, is with those matches.

And whats working in their favor is that the newer a player is the lower their standards right, like by the end of mw2 I was dropping nukes pretty regularly pretty easily to the point I didn’t even enjoy it anymore, and ultimately that plays a role in wwhy people get so frustrated later on is the more you do it the harder it is to get the same satisfaction that same excitement that same fun or high, but you never stop chasing, im not sure anything will ever be as exciting as that nuke with tommy, but for 3 years I haven’t stopped chasing.

And this also exactly why call of duty wants to always compresss the skill gap as much as possible, because they are operating with the priority of providing at least one good game to every player to get them hooked.

However, the cod developers started to notice a serious problem in mw2, you see the developers had anticipated that the strong experienced players would begin to decimate the weaker newer players, as more and more call of dutys came out they correctly concluded that a new player on the newest call of duty would be at a severe disadvantage if playing against an enemy that had already played extensively on 2 to 3 other call of duty games.

the developers were concerned about franchise growth, they wanted to continue to reach and hook as many players as possible but that was hard to do when large chunks of new players would join a call of duty match, fall prey to a hopeless spawn trap, and essentially give up on the game, saying something like call of duty is a neat game but its just too hard for me, and then they put the game down, take the rental back, or hand the controller back to their friend at his house;perhaps they will take another shot at it in the future, but what if they just get shit on that time too?
Now this was hurting profits, It was taking a drag on franchise growth and a drag on overall sales, it was not the end of the world mind you, they were still breaking sales records and sending their execcutives home with good checks so those exectuvies could get good tv packages when they got there
BUT THE POINT TO CAPITALISM, AND THE GOAL OF RUNNING ANY BUSINESS is maximizing your profits, not settling for less, maximizing, that is what drives competition and competition is what drives progress; this is how it has to be.

Now their first attempt at even the playing field in a way that even the worst of players could get an occasional good game, was to make every weapon perk piece of equipment and killstreak way overpowered; along with deathstreaks.

Think back to mw2 and what people complained was OP in those days, the acr the famas the ump the rpd the aa 12 shotgun secondaries commando the infamous one man army danger close noob tubes, noob tubes in general, harrier strikes and chopper gunners and occasionally even the barret
These thing were overpowered on purpose, with the goal of empowering the noob, so that anyone could use these weapons and with a minimum amount of skill acquire the predator missle, and the way the killstreaks worked the predator missile could get you to a harrier and that harrier a chopper gunner, now perhaps it wasn't common to get a double with the pred and then a quad with the harrier, but it wasn’t rare either, and they knew all they had to do was get the noob to the chopper gunner just once and they would be hooked for life.

But things didn’t work out, the stronger players as they gained more experience learned to use the op mechanisms in ways that a noob could not comprehend or compete against, perfected spawn traps went viral among the populace, the strong once again decimated the weak in a continuous cycle online and I remember this part vividly because I was one of those decimators, we would build off eachothers killstreaks and in the end have permanent harriers and ac130s in the air, nukes ending games early, we would compete to see who could get to the nuke first
The developers realized they had to take more drastic measures after mw2, that if they wanted to continue to grow and consume the world they would have to continually empower the weak against the strong, through any means necessary.

And so in black ops 1 a new lag compensation system was implemented, under the guise of trying to fix the host advantage problem; instead of every match having 1 player at a distinct advantage, every match had random groups and amounts of players at random levels of advantage and disadvantage

What the lag does is create a system of chaos, in which anything is possible by anyone, and the developers are very very fond of this system of chaos because what it means is that eventually everyone is going to have a good game, because if the lag is working against someone, it is working in someone elses favor, thats basic logic.

if you are having a laggy game if people are teleporting around corners and ur bullets are evaporating before hitting your opponents, that means those opponents are basically in invincibility mode, they can dodge bullets like the matrix and teleport around corners, killing their enemies before their enemy even knows they exist; they are playing half a second ahead of everyone else and even a really bad player can have a good game if the lag is working in their favor; and this is what the developers want more than anything, is for a noob to get a good game, because they know that if they can give a player just one good match he will be under the cod spell for eternity
the lag works in everyone's favor at one point or another, and when it does they generally get a good game without even trying very hard, because honestly how much do you need when you are fighting an opponent who doesn’t even realize you exist yet.

the key is noticing, most people don’t notice when its working in their favor they like to think they are just that good at the game, and that’s how the developers want it, and that’s how it has been since black ops 1, despite all the rage and complaints, and that is how it will always be, because we are victims of a vast conspiracy.

<param name="allowFullScreen"
Subject: What's your favorite CoD? - by: spartacon5267

You favorite in the series.

I have two, black ops 1 and MW2. MW2 was the best for me, I don't think it was the best for overall quality and balance...commando bitches and noob tube assholes quickly ruined the game for many. Still, I loved it. It was probably the only game where OP weapons didn't bother me...because EVERYTHING was OP in MW2. I loved how fast paced and over the top it was, the massive killstreaks (damn I miss my fucking AC-130 and tactical nuke), the graphics upgrade, the weapon selection (TAR-21 and AK-47 <3), and the connections...I'm not sure why but unlike the rest of the CoD series, I hardly ever lagged in MW2...don't know why. MW2 was also the game that got me into CoD, I liked CoD4 and I liked WaW but I fucking loved MW2.

Black Ops 1 I loved for the weapon balance, while the FAMAS and 74U were OP...nothing else really was. Sniper rifles and shotguns actually took some skill to use, and the LMG's were bad enough that you didn't see pricks sitting on lines of sight the entire match. It was mostly focused around AR's and SMG's, it was one of the better CoD's for rushing. Plus I was really fucking good at blops 1, only CoD where I enjoyed TDM.

Subject: Best and worst CoD maps? - by: spartacon5267

What are your favorite and most hated CoD maps?

favorites: WMD, Summit, Cracked, Raid, Afghan, Villa, Downturn, Resistance, Crash, Bog, Grind, Magma, Downhill (sometimes).

Least favorites: Nuketown (I'm sorry, I know a lot of people will disagree, but blops 1 it's nothing but explosives and on blops 2 it's nothing but target finders, shotguns, and hardscopers), underpass, vertigo, hydro, Stuido (good in blops 1, not so great in blops 2), Mirage.

I have mixed feelings about Encore, Firing Range, and Turbine. Encore I usually do well on, but air support doesn't do crap and with dogs being garbage in blops 2 it's a frustrating map at times. Firing Range was great in black ops 1, but I either loved it or despised it depending on the mode. Turbine is great if you get your air support...the problem is getting it...every time I get close to a streak some bitch with a target finder kills me or some hardscoper sitting in the back of the map kills me.

Subject: CoD: Ghosts, thoughts? - by: spartacon5267

I was glad CoD got graphics upgrades, I kind of laughed at the Xbox presentation when the dude showed a picture of the arms in MW3 and said "they were beautiful at the time" he apparently hadn't seen BF3 or Crysis, or Far Cry, or Halo 4, or Medal of Honor.

While I normally don't give a shit about graphics, CoD was definitely getting left behind pretty damn quick. After MW2, I thought the graphics got progressively worse, the graphics in Ghosts are almost on par with BF3 in some places.

Spotted some weapons I'm excited to see come back too, the MTAR-21, what I think was a SCAR-H and an AK variant of some kind (it'd be cool to see another AK, instead of the 47. Like an AK-74M or AK-103 or maybe the newest variant the AK-12). Saw an ACR too, had mixed feelings about that gun in MW3. I'm wondering if the vaulting animation thing will mean I won't need dexterity, it's kind of sad that I can mantle things in real life faster than the supposedly elite soldiers in CoD.

Any thoughts as to the Nuke/MOAB replacement? Nobody will play an IW game anymore unless there's a god streak. I saw what I think was an orbital bombardbent weapon that was supposedly a ghosts screenshot. Essentially, a sattelite drops a large rod from space, and it apparently does roughly the same thing as a nuke. Just a thought.

I've heard rumors of 12 v 12 game modes, I've gotten a couple 100+ games and we see a lot of those on youtube, even 200+ games. In 12 v 12 does that mean we'll see, say 300 - 400+ games?

What are things you want to see comeback?

I want my AK back and my AC-130...and I mean the GOOD AC-130..not the shitty one from MW3 where you'd call it in, it'd get you maybe 5 kills and then it gets shot down immediately.

Things you don't want to see comeback? Some of these, most of them, probably will come back anyway but I can dream.

I'd like the knife lunge gone completely, the under barrel noob tubes/SMAW/AT-4/RPG gone (I'm fine with the vehicle only launchers such as the stinger or strela), bouncing betties...and please...for the love of god...please say support streaks won't be back.
